Chapter 9 : My Human Thermometer

Early Morning..

Yuzu woke up and she slightly got up to get the thermometer to check on Mei’s body temperature which got down a bit as it is 39°C... Mei is still hugging her tightly as if someone’s going to take away Yuzu from her..

“Hmmm it’s good to know it went down a little... I should tell mom to call the school and so she can request a leave of absence for Mei” Yuzu mumbled..

Yuzu tried to remove Mei’s arm but Mei moved closer as she wrapped her thighs to Yuzu... The blond couldn’t do anything as she don’t want to wake her up.. Suddenly, Ume knocked on the door..

“Yuzu..? Are you awake? Ume asked

“Ahm yes mom.. I just can’t get up hehe” Yuzu said..

“Huh why?.. may I come in?” Ume asked

“Yeah sure..” Yuzu answered back

“I saw the towel and basin in the kitchen.. is there someth...” Ume said while opening the door but stopped as soon as she saw her two daughters

“Good morning mom. Well about the towel and basin.. Mei is actually sick.. I tried to put the towel on but it seems that she doesn’t need it.. hehe” Yuzu said.. “and oh! By the way mom can you call the school and inform them about Mei’s situation so she can be excused for today?” Yuzu asked

“Yes of course I will do that.. now get up and go to school” Ume said  as she leaves the room to call their school
I know this is not the right time but seeing  these two like this is so heart warming.. I’m so happy for my daughters knowing that they’re happy being together.. No matter what happens I will  support them forever..

“Right I’ll do that.. hehe” Yuzu answered

Mei heard someone talking and she was shocked that she’s buried from Yuzu’s chest a bit.. She blushes as soon as she remembered what happened last night.. She was embarrassed with the way things run like that as if she’s never get jealous as well as nothing happened in between them...As she saw their mother leaves the door she wanted to act as if she was sleeping still but it’s too late.. Yuzu turned her face back to Mei and she saw her wide awake

“Ow.. so you’re up.. hehe Good morning Mei.. how are you feeling right now?” Yuzu asked

“Ahm.. sorry I didn’t.. want to trouble you.. la.. last night.. sorry” Mei said stuttering while her face turns red

“No.. you don’t have to apologize... I should be the one apologizing to you.. I’m sorry Mei.. this shouldn’t happened to you.. It’s my fault..” Yuzu said as she was really mad about what happened that it causes Mei to be like this..

“It wasn’t your fault that it rained.. besides I don’t have my umbrella with me.. so it’s my..” Mei was cut off as she felt Yuzu’s tears.. “No.. **sob** none of this **sob** would happen.. if I.. I.. I **sob** did something wrong.. I hurt you **sob** and then this.. haha **sob** what a big sister am I?” Yuzu broke down in tears and she couldn’t hold it back as her chest is bursting out and those emotions wanted to go all out..

“....” Mei didn’t respond but she knew that it wasn’t Yuzu’s fault.. She was having a hard time admitting it to Yuzu that she already know what happened.. the things that she heard from her conversation with Ayame and from her confession last night..

“before I forgot.. I asked mom to call our school so that you can be excused for today” Yuzu said as she tried to wipe her tears

“Huh? No! I can still come to school besides.. I need to finalize something today.. I could...” Mei got cut off as Yuzu told her “Mei, please stay here.. you can’t come to school like this.. do you want to pass out again like the last time?” Yuzu said as she’s worried that she might get into a fight with Mei again
