the laughter brightened the house as the tiny feet hit the ground, rushing to look all over the house for the last three eggs, i looked over the railing, a smile coming to my lips. down the stairs i saw my boyfriend trailing behind our 5 year old, Disney, while our 3 year old, Rome, waddled behind the two.
rome stretched his arms out, calling the two as they giggled rushing to find the eggs, i bounced down the stairs snickering to myself before bending down to pick up my baby "mommy will do it," i reassured him as he continued grinning.
i held rome on my hip, stepping out the front door to look in the garden where i KNEW one egg was. it's not cheating if i just lead him to it, right? giggling silently i spoke up "okay baby, there might be an egg somewhere out here, you should check just incase."
"okay mommy!" i crouched down, holding onto his basket as i set him on the grass, as soon as he was sturdy i released it, watching him rush to the blue, pink, yellow and red flowers.
i heard the door open again, disney and jimin running in our direction, he stopped, squinting at me. i mirrored him, crossing my arms "and what do you think you're doing HERE huh?" i then put my hands on my hips. "i could ask you the same thing..." he trailed off, eyeing me suspiciously.
i tried not to laugh, furrowing my brows i brought my left index and middle fingers to my eyes, gesturing to his after "i'm watching you, handsome!" i turned to look at rome and disney in our flowers.
i ran my tongue across the inside of my cheek trying not to smile as i felt jimin's lips on my temple, sliding his hands around my waist, "i love them so much," he whispered,"i know angel, i love them and i love you, more than anything."
jimin's hands rested against my dress, i looked at our kids, reaching up to run my hand through his hair, turning my face to kiss his cheek. "i love you." his smile softened, mine doing the same. "baby, they're so precious and sweet, they're just like you." i spoke truthfully.
"TUH,"i breathed out, watching as disney raised one of three eggs, jimin laughed pulling back from me "we don't need this, come on baby," i spoke with fake attitude as i picked rome up again.

"mommyyyy" disney whined, tugging on my dress "what's the matter pretty?" i looked down at her, rome standing beside her now. "we can't find the last egg," rome spoke, they wore identical frowns, my lips did the same as i tried to remember where it was.
i didn't think i'd hidden it either, "come on, let's ask daddy where it is," i took both of their hands in my own, their free ones holding onto their baskets, i took them up the stairs carefully "hey baby?" i called out, opening our bedroom door. "hmm?" he hummed not looking up from the book in his hand.
"do you know where the last egg is daddy?" rome questioned, his hand slipping from mine as he went to climb on jimin "i thought you hid it?" he sat up, leaving the book on the covers before pulling rome onto his lap. i shook my head "no baby, my last one was in the garden," jimin's head turned in curiosity as he thought about it.
"i only know because you took disney to find yours, when i took rome to find mine," i mumbled, tapping on my chin as i thought about where it could be.
all of a sudden his face turned pink as he left rome on our bed, disney climbed up next to her little brother as jimin went to our closet, looking through his things. the kids sat beside each other looking a little mischievous as they turned to watch their father.
i watched as he walked over to me, his face redder than before, as soon as i thought to ask if he was okay, i'd been cut off "y/n, since the day we met i knew you were gonna be so special to me, and where we are today is proof of just that. i knew you'd be the one i wanted to spend the rest of my days with, after all these years, my feelings have never faltered not once."
my eyes started to water at the sweet words, they reflected my feelings perfectly "i always knew i wanted to have this family with you, OUR family. never in my life have i felt so much for someone, knowing you feel the same makes it all worth it." the tears fell softly, the kids not surprised at all as they watched this unfold.
how he got the two to keep this secret was beyond me, but in that moment, it didn't matter. jimin got down on one knee, a slight smile on his lip as he opened the easter egg, a beautiful ring sat inside it. "y/n, i love you more than life itself, will you marry me?"
he didn't even have to ask.
"i would love to," i sniffled, pulling him up into a tight hug, after standing entirely jimin put his hands on my waist, lifting me up, i wrapped my arms around him, smiling as i dug my teary face into his shoulder.
i pulled back seeing the relief on his face, but really he didn't have to worry at all. it would be a yes from me, to him, in any and every lifetime. i kissed him softly "ew!" i heard the kids say collectively before they ran out of our room.
we broke the kiss, laughing wholeheartedly, "jimin, saranghae." i looked deeply into his eyes, mine were slightly closed as i smiled blissfully. pure happiness radiating from us, he held my face, planting little kisses every second "saranghae baby." i melted into his kisses, grabbing his face to bring his lips to mine.
after a little bit i pulled back excitedly, jimin opened his eyes as i squealed "i have to tell our sisters!!" i ran out the room, the largest smile on my face as he laughed happily.
