The Girl Who Escaped

(Autumns pov)
I woke up, it was another day in the lab in was in, we get our morning meds and injections, I whinced as i got my injection, I never got used to mine, but my roomate never even flinched at theirs, is known her for as long as I been here, and she doesnt know how long she has been here, they say her family thinks she's dead. I sigh as we get up and go to group and then class too learn about abilities, and stupid shit.
It was now outside time which we never have, only like once a year, which they we're stupid enough not to even watch us outside, I groan at the loght that i havent seen in a while, it burns my eyes, but alot of people have escaped from here, i looked at the fence, 'i could jump that..' I sat softly before getting starled by the guard bringing us in for dinner, the day goes by fast as does any other day, I dint even feel like eating, it just watch the thing they call a TV. As soon as the guards leave, i stand up, kai, my roommate, grabs my arm "Where are you going?" She says "Outside, i wanna try." She frowns but pets go of my arm, "Be careful, please." I nod before, looking at the lock hearing it twist and unlock, i gulp before opening the door, and ran outside, some of the other patients followed behind, laughing and running around trying to find ways out, I hop on the fence, feeling the tiny razors at the top of the fence dig into my skin, is got onto the other side, thinking I made it without getting caught but then i heard the sirens, and people screaming, the sirens hurt my ears, so the only thing i thought was smart to do, I ran, i had to jump another fence and i did, I sprained my ankle in the process but I got out and ran again, trying to make it to the most part of life, to act like I was apart of the world again, it was night, I saw light from a little oval looking light, i walked towards it and coughed, I probably looked like I escaped from somewhere my clothes looked like hospital clothes and they we're worn and bloody, I heard talking behind me which made me scared, so i started to walk quickly again, running into two people, as I hit the ground I rub my head and groan, I heard a soft girls voice speak "Are you okay sweetie?" My vision starts to clear as I see two people, ones a male and the others a female with bags in her hand, "Yeah.." My voice seemed crackly since i was a bit scared and I just escaped a place that ive been locked up in for years.
The dude then looked at me, his gaze was hard and then it soften, he reached out his hand, I hesitantly grabbed it, but when I did i stood up, I wobbled a bit but it was okay. The two looked at eachother for a solid 5 minutes before turning back to me
"I'm luke and this is emma, we want to make sure your okay, you do seem young and you seem hurt too." He said, I raise an eyebrow, How the fuck did they talk without even speaking? I nodded slowly "Im only 16 sir." I said softly, before looking down, emma squeezed my shoulder before pulling me into a hug, "Lets get you cleaned up and get you dressed, you must be cold." I nod before walking with them. The guards must've ethier gave up, or sent out troops.

Once I got to their house, it was a middle class looking house, inside everything was clean, i groan at the lights, it giving me a headache, luke notices and turns them off, "JACK, DID I SAY TO TURN THE LIGHTS OFF AFTER THE MOVIE?" he yells, and emma just giggles at him, she walks to him a four kids walk into view "Jack spell, what did I tell you ab...." The voices start to drown out, jack spell..they must be the spells family, which means, kai spell is their daughter, and i left her there to be hurt, i should've took her with me and now these people are helping me? My thoughts seem to be broken as soon as the oldest says "Whose that?" Then all eyes are on me, emma smiles "This is uh..." "Autumn.." " yes, autumn and she'll be staying here until shes good in health and we fond her parents.." I froze, my parents dont want me, they never did, if they wanted me I wouldnt have been brought to the lab. I gulp before walking towards emma, she brings me upstairs and into the bathroom, she closes the door and leaves clothes from her oldest son, which he was 17, but they should fit me?? Right and beside them we're towels, i sigh and turn on the faucet before getting in and washing my hair and body.

<after shower>

I got out of the shower feeling clean for the most of my years, I grab the undergarments that i got and put them on, they fit, along with the shirt even though its a bit big, and the shorts looked smaller and girlie, but i put them on anyways, I felt warm and clean, I unlock the door and walk out and go down the stairs where, jacob was sitting on the chair, having a device in his hand, and luke having the same device in his hand, with emma right beside them, the other kids probably went to bed, I cough softly and their heads turn, luke smiles and emmas eyes widen and glisten, she stands up, and hugs me again, she smells like starwberries and dogs? She then speaks "Oh my, you feel so small, how long since you eaten?" She says before dragging me into the kitchen, i sign and sit at the table, I heard what sounded like luke growl, I stood up and looked around for a dog, I couldn't sense or see one, i sat back down, Kai did say her family was special, and a bit doggish, so do you think...the spells family are werewolfs, not that i have any room to judge them.

After I ate my food, which was amazingly good, I get up and emma leads me to the guest room, i close the door and lay down, I fell right asleep in the soft bed, it felt so comfortable and i havent felt that in years..
