As the two part from their hug, Germany places his hand on Indonesia's shoulder.
"If you don't mind, you'll be skipping your classes today. I need to monitor you closely for your own safety. I'm really sorry if you miss anything important, but safety before knowledge." Germany softly smiles.
Indonesia could not believe himself. "I get to miss school!? Hell yeah!" He shouts, his infectuous smile spreading warmly through Germany. Malay chips in, "This cockroach has only dreamed of skipping school. You just made his dreams come true, now look at him. Congratulations Germany, you now have a hyperactive Indonesian to take care of." He smirks.
"No, no, Austria is helping me too. And Brazil is there too, so Indo won't be alone. But I'm afraid Indo won't like what he will have to do there..." He trails off, looking at the confused indonesian.
"It can't be that bad. Right?"
"Allahu akbar..." Indonesia mutters. "Austria, please remind me why I have to do this?" The violent annoyance in his voice contrasts to the bland monotone rain outside.
"Sorry Indo, but it's nececary. It won't hurt for long." Austria tries to comfort the gloomy Asian.
"What, the needle or the feather?" He mumbles, not especially happy he has to sacrifice his feather to be tested on. Let alone take an injection. He despised injections.
"Both. Now come on, once you do it you get to relax for the entire day. Pleaseee?" Germany pleads, appearing from a corner with a little container in his hand.
"Hmph. At least make it quick then." Indonesia finally gives up and pulls his wing closer to him, inspecting the pastel yellow feathers before stroking them, resting his fingers on a bent feather, and plucking it out. He hissed in pain, clutching the feather, before shakily handing it over to the german, who puts it into the container, closing it and smiling.
"Good! Now the needle! It won't hurt, we promise!"
The german takes out a long, thin needle and Indonesia flinches. He backs against the wall and his breathing hitches. His eyes burn and his vision fades, closing his eyes, only to open them again yellow. He coughs, yellow tears slowly running down his cheeks as his world turns gray.
"Let me take over." A familliar voice sounds in his head. "Never! Get. Out... Of. My. HEAD!" He shakes his head to try and shake the thought away. A stabbing pain shoots through his chest making him fall to his knees.
"Well then. Have it your way."And it all goes black.
Austria P.O.V
Germany pulls out the needle and Indonesia backs against the wall in a panic.
I push the needle away and bend down to the smaller country so we are at about eye level.
"Indonesia? Should we put it away for you?" I carefully ask the frightened little country, who starts heavily breathing and coughing.
"I knew he would react like this, Austria, wait. This is what he did last time! Look at his eyes!" Germany's voice grows louder with every word and slowly starts panicking.
And, Indonesia's yellow eyes shine as the little country grows unstable.
He suddenly screams, blocking his ears as if trying to drown out a fight. "Never! Get.Out...Of. My. HEAD!" He suddenly shrieks before falling forward. I step forward to catch the small boy before he blacks out in my arms.
"Well." I say. "That was an experience."
Germany slowly injects the needle into the unconsious little boy. "Yeah. That was. I'm really concerned for him, what if it hurts him or others? The Indonesia I know is the strong little independent country there, right in your arms. So many people would die... and dear God.. Ase would never recover from the loss." He takes the child out of my arms and places him on a nearby bed, a light blue fluffy bed with a heart monitor and other instruments around the bed.
The infirmary was his biggest pride. He hated the white, dull feeling that radiated from it, so as soon as he gained control over the room, he painted the walls a sunny yellow and pastel green, making the beds purple and blue. He loved the childish, warm atmosphere there. It was the childhood he never got.
He tucks in Indonesia, before turning his attention to me, currently watching Brazil wake up.
"Hallo Brazillien! Sleep well?" I ask Brazil, slowly waking up as he lifts his head up.
"Mhm.. Sim. Why is Indonésio here too?" He tiredly asks, rubbing his eyes.
Oh. I can't tell him, can I? What would be a suitable excuse...? Hah. That's easy. I hope Brazil will believe my lie.
"Oh, Nesi here mixed the wrong chemicals in chemistry class and knocked him unconsious."I fluently lied. It wasn't a talent to be proud of, but I manage.
"Ohh, okay. Is he gonna be okay?" He asks, a small frown forming on his face.
"I.. I don't know, Brazil. I don't know."
The yellow wall behind Indonesia exactly matches the colour of the now pale boy's tears running down his face as he sleeps, plaged by nightmares and untrust, betrayal, and paranoia.
Little did he know, he was right.
