Synopsis:
Wern Muller is always hungry.
Unfortunately, eating for Wern is not as easy as grabbing takeout. Wern can only feed on the traumatic memories of people and animals. It's an exhausting and thought eroding experience, but Wern has to eat, or very bad things happen. To make it easier, Wern works in places where he is in close contact with traumatized individuals.
Haruto Sato makes Wern hungry.
Sato, a user of the food bank where Wern works, is dripping in trauma. Wern can see the memories slither and hiss on his neck and shoulders. The memories whisper to Wern, enticing him like sauce on dumplings.
Haruto could quench Wern's hunger for a full year...
So why won't Wern feed on him?
Why I liked it:
This book is plain one thing: sweet. Not your normal sugary kind; it's more of the dark yet sweet because the characters just do it for you kinda sweet.
I stumbled upon it and since I hadn't read a vampire book in a long time, I thought why not? Let me tell you one thing: if you're looking for the blood thirsty vampire book, this isn't the one!
This book, is the definition of imagination. There's a vampire, yet it's not the same. Still, I read it in a go, with only 20 chapters in it, and had a peaceful reading time.
It's not too dark, yet, so well explained of the situation, you just have to read and find out.
