Chapter 1

Jenalene POV.

Since i was a kid , my parents feels something is off with me . Like tumatawa ako magisa may kausap ako mag-isa .

But they don't think pretty much about it, cause they think it's normal for a toddler like me to laugh and speak alone.

I was around 7 years old at this time na naglalaro ako mag isa sa bakuran namin ng may isang babae na nakatayo sa harap ko hindi ko masyado masinagan yung mukha nung babae dahil sa liwanag ng araw.

She handed her hand towards me and i grab her hand and she pulled me beside the pillar.

Nung nakarating na kami sa pillar ay saktong bumagsak yung puno, at syempre bata pako kaya umiyak ako ng malakas.

Lumabas agad sila Mama at Papa para tingnan kung anong nangyari. At nakita nila ako na nakatayo sa gilid ng pillar habang umiiyak.

Tinanong ako nila Mama kung ano nangyari while I'm still crying . Sasabihin ko na sana sakanila ang tungkol doon sa babae, Pero hindi ako nakapagsalita dahil tuloy tuloy magsalita si mama na para bang machine gun.

It's late at night and im still awake for what happened. And suddenly the girl showed up again smiling at me while the tears are dropping from her eyes.

I stand up and speak to her

"Why are you crying?." I said

"N-nothing i-i j-just missed my parents." She said while wipping the tears

"Don't cry I'm sure your parents loves you" i said while comforting her
"What is your name?." I ask

"Uhh j- Jelene." And she smiled

"Oh okay Jelene you can sleep with me if you don't mind." I said politely

"Oh no thanks i need to go back to our house."
She rejected

"Okay I'll see you tomorrow then." I said and go back to sleep .

-Fast Forward-

I'm 12 at this time when this happened

I wake up a morning and i go downstairs to eat but my mom and dad is nowhere to be seen. It's weird cause it's sunday.

Dumeretso nalang ako sa hapagkainan para kumain buti nalang may niluto si mama.

As i finished eating i heard footstep at the living room.

I slowly walk towards the living room to see who the f*ck is it. ( wa-ait what i know how to curse at age of 12?! )

But no one is in there.
and suddenly someone touch my shoulder and said.

"Good morning babe! Sorry i didn't came home last night i was so bus-."

My soul left my body .

"Who are you?! Why are you in my house!?." I asked loudly

"Uhhh babe are you alright? I'm your husband. Ai-."

"I don't have a husband i'm literally 12 years old!." I shouted at him .

"Ah-m Is this a prank?." He asked
I pushed him towards the table and run towards the bathroom.

I locked the door and take my phone in my pocket , while i was opening my phone i saw my reflection.

"W-WHAT!? WHATS HAPPENING TO ME!?." i scream .

"JENALENE OPEN THE DOOR!." He shouted while banging the door .

I quickly ran towards the mirror to see if im not losing my mind and i  saw my reflection and i got  panicked.

"T-THIS CANT BE! IM 12 YEARS OLD BUT WHY I LOOKED LIKE AN ADULT.."
I open my phone again and check the date.

"April 12, 2041"

"WTF!?."

I washed my eyes and look at mirror again to see if I'm just hallucinating

But shit! i still look the same.

Umiyak ako at napaupo sa may gilid dahil sa sobrang takot at pagtataka .

As I cried i just feel nothing and I lose consciousness. and after that i hear my mom calling my name.

"JENALENE! JENALENE! SWEETY! WAKE UP!." My mom shouted while she shaking my shoulder .

I open my eyes and quickly get up and hugged my mom. I feel relieved when i saw her.

Then i quickly ran to the bathroom to see my reflection.
And thank god I'm back , i'm happy to see my true reflection again.

"I guessed it's just a nightmare." I said then wash my face then go to downstairs .

I saw my mom preferring breakfast " good morning mommy " i said and then kiss her on the cheeks .

"morning too sweety , are you okey now ? " she asked me  " yes mom I'm okey now , don't worry about it  "  i said then i look around .

" ahm mom where is dad? " napansin ko kasing wala si dad kanina pa. 

" he's taking bath " she said then I start eating breakfast then meanwhile i hear footsteps coming to us  .

" Well good morning my queen and my princess " it's my dad  " morning dad "  i greet him back .

Masaya kaming kumain ng agahan and since saturday ngayun walang school so nag sudjest ako kay dad kung pwede kaming mag beach .

" Ahm dad can we go to the beach? " he swallow he's food before answering me.

" Yeah sure sweety. Sound great , matagal narin naman tayung hindi nakakapag beach . right honey ? " dahil dun napangiti ako.  i actually I'm just being bored here in our house that's why I want to go somewhere .

"  Yey! so! should i pack my things  after we eat breakfast ? " my mom nodded at me .

" yes sweety para ma enjoy natin ng matagal dun " my mom said with the exitment voice .

Nang matapos kaming mag-agahan ay agad akong dumiretso sa room ko to pack my things of course   .

I'm so exited finally makakakita ako ulit ng dagat and making a sandcastle. nakangiti ako habang nag aayus ng gamit ko then my friend showed up beside me .

" oh! hi jen , i have to tell you something and guess what ? " i said to her  .

" i already know what is that! anyway pag punta mo dun sa may beach wag kang mag-iisip na itry lumangoy sa malalim okey ?! " Here we go again she always like this!.

"But why?! kasama konaman si dad and mom eh! and how can i enjoy there ?! "
i said to he .  She sight at umupo para maging kapantay ko then she held my hand.

"Jenalene listed to me okey! wag kang pupunta sa malalim o lalangoy ok! , i can't save you there when something bad happens  to you , cause that place is so full of many people , so be careful okey? wag na wag kang pupunta sa malalim kahit pa kasama mo ang parents mo understand ?!"
i' m still confused for what she taking about  but I  nodded to her cause i don't want her to worry about me and i know she just want me to be safe .
