Chapter 1: the beginning

Flashback to senior year
in high school.

Avalon pov

"Kimi da yo kimi nandayo oshiete kureta Kurayami mo hikaru nara hoshizora ni naru-" "Eughh I hate waking up for school."

I groaned as I got up and took a shower. Once I got out I blow-dried my hair and put it up in a high ponytail with my bangs out.

After I got out of my bathroom I put on my clothes for the day. I'm wearing a white cashmere turtleneck sweater, tucked in my brown pants. And a black belt.

As I went downstairs, I was greeted by my mom.

"Oh hey, Avalon." Hi mom." "Are you wearing that to school?" She said as she looked at me up and down.  What's wrong with it?" "Nothing... It's just so, so bland. Wouldn't you want to wear something less male-ish?" "What does that mean?" I go and grab my boots.

"Well, it doesn't matter if you are going to wear it anyway." She sighed and walked to the kitchen.

"Alright." I mumbled as I put on my boots, and put them under my pants. I grabbed my bag and a water bottle then I left without saying goodbye.

As I entered my car I got a call from my best friend.

"Yo wassup Lonnie. " "Hey Fay!" I started my car. "Want me to pick you up today?"

"Oh wow, a ride with my favorite person? I have to accept"

she put her phone down and bowed. "For her Majesty." then got on one knee, and lowered her head with her arm in front.

"When shall you be arriving my queen?"

She was wearing a very nice black skirt, and her grey long-sleeved shirt tucked in with some of it out.

The shirt had the kanji from the demon slayer uniform on the back. I loved that shirt.

Along with the very pretty platform boots, she had fishnets. And her hair was out.

I rolled my eyes and started driving to her house as I heard her holding in her laughter "I'll be arriving shortly, in about 10 minutes. As you were, my good friend."

Fay broke out laughing. It took all her energy to even start talking. "I'll go *inhale* g-get my *inhale* bag"

She heard me laughing as she grabbed her phone. She glared at me and said, "I see your car pulling up the street, I'll see you when you get here." And hung up.

I sighed and pulled up to her house, and saw her walk out. With a frustrated look on her face.

She grunted and put her seat belt on and I pulled out. I was gonna ask but she beat me to it.

"I. Can't. Stand. My. Parents!" "Do this. Do that." "You're too fat." "You look too skinny." "Eat more." "Eat less." "You need to do more for us." "You are so useless." THEN PULL SOME "Why don't you talk to us more?" LIKE WHAT THE FUCK? some fucking bull. Like I wonder why I'm in my room all the time?" She rolled her eyes.

"Parents are so weird and dumb, acting like just because they're older means they are better than us." I sighed and turned the corner.

"YEAH, I KNOW! It's like they don't even treat me like my age. I bet they don't even know my favorite color."

"All kinds of grey and red." I chimed as an attempt to make her feel better. "Of course you know my favorite colors. You know me better than everyone."

"Obviously. But you have one more year then we can move out together as we planned." She nodded and I pulled up to Aderney hawks high school.

We had so many good memories in this place... Where- no why did it go wrong?...
