Nyx supposed this was a fitting end, dying to save her niece just as her elder two brothers had done. Falling towards the empty black pit known as Malivore, she went over the last few decades in her mind.
Her family being reunited, Mikael and Esther meeting their permeant end, her twin brother Niklaus finally finding some semblance of peace after having part of him locked away and being hunted down for a millennia, Hope being born and growing up to become someone that they could all be proud of.
Kol and Rebekah would grieve and then move on, just as they had done for Nik and Elijah. Davina and Marcel would help them, distract them from the pain. Nyx had lived a long and, though not always pleasant, a full life. This way Hope could live on, have a full life with people that care for her.
Smiling, she closed her eyes and, with one final exhale, let herself be consumed by Malivore.
