It's like an old tale to tell yet it happened not too long ago...
Neither reality or myth, it cause a large number of deaths in a short amount of time.
Humanoid giants had driven humanity to the brink of extinction. These creatures are addressed as 'titans': beings that attack and feed on human flesh.
A few remaining humans were able to survive and currently resided within the kingdom of walls; Wall Maria was the outermost wall, Wall Rose, the middle wall, and Wall Sina, the innermost wall.
Living a peaceful and joyous life was all they did in the past few years; but it came to an end when a colossal titan and armored titan breached their way in- inside the wall in Year 845- the hole was big enough for other titans to enter.
The amount of deaths increase during the event, almost wiping out half of the population. A lot of people lose their love ones and friends, poverty rise, and many had been experiencing depression and trauma.
Our heroine experienced the same thing in her childhood, she was seven years old that time: the only difference was that a titan didn't breach a wall, instead, a titan mysteriously appeared in a small village she lived in. They said it happened a few days before two titans breached wall Maria.
Well, at least that's what she was told too...
She gain consciousness four days after, mind empty of the events that had occur, also does her identity. It's like they were erased or snapped out of existence. She lost her memories... She got amnesia!
The scouts that rescued her had to explain everything that had happened, saying that she was the only survivor of the massacre.
They found her, laying on the semi-grassland, barely clinging onto her life, a severe injury was present in her abdomen region, it was big and you could even see some internal organs peeking out of the hole. It was a horrible sight to see, they admitted despite all their experiences and some even witnessing their comrades die in gruesome ways.
They also stated that the titan mysteriously disappeared the same way it had appeared.
She felt her heart drop the moment she heard the story. The only one survivor... She's all alone now. She got no one.
Gathering up all her courage, she swear an oath to revenge all the love ones she have lost... even if it kills her in the process.
And someday, she'll finally regain her lost memories...

Months had past and our heroine grew a few inch in height but grew a lot from all her past experiences and now in the care of Survey Corps, Erwin Smith, Hanji Zoe and Levi Ackerman to be precise: now adopted daughter of the commander.

In a battleground, an eight year old girl stands, clenching onto a bloodied long steel blades that she probably stole from a dead soldier not too faraway, heaving in and out as her heart was about to burst out of its cage. Her long golden locks flows with the wind, creating a somehow dramatic hero effect like those in TV's, her ocean blue eyes wide open, staring down at the giant's body laying dead on the ground. "I- ... I did it... I killed one." She dropped the blades on the grassland and motion her eyes towards the soldier she had just save. The soldier was an inexperienced one so there's a high possibility that he's one of the new recruits. "Are you hurt?" she uttered a question, her voice ever so softly as usual even in times like this. The male only eyed her for good few seconds before answering a 'no' while stuttering. Being save by a child was probably an embarrassment for an adult like him. He finally came to his senses and gave out plenty of apologies and thanks to his savior. "I will forever be in debt Miss Louisa Smith! Thank so much for saving my life!"
The girl wasn't able to comprehend much of his statement but cringe when she heard a honorific title.
The other men joined in and also cheered for the youngster.
Instead of being happy for herself, Louisa was nervous and sweating bullets.
She was never permitted to come to one of her father's expedition, but being a curious and a little rebel for once, she snuck out without anyone noticing and blended in through the scouts without even one noticing. Clever girl.
This is when the blond girl knew she messed up. A short captain came out of the woods riding a chestnut colored horse, he pulls out into a stop near the group. His intimidating eyes scan the crowd and quickly landed to Louisa, he made an annoying 'tch' sound which doesn't sound good to Louisa herself.
"There's a batch of titans in the east section." With that, all soldiers disperse into battle, leaving out an about-to-cry girl and a scary captain.
"Erwin will hear about this." He stated, making the young girl sobs. If you look at the situation on a different way, it seems a grown man made a child cry, like an adult stealing a lollipop from a baby. It's funny how Levi was the one that looks like at fault instead of the girl's wrongdoing and disobedience; his face expression makes it even worst at his case.
"Damn, captain is so harsh." someone blurted out which caught the attention of the duo. The said captain fixed his gaze at the soldier. Blanching in fear, the soldier didn't waste a second to run for his life. Again, it's just the short captain and the short blond girl. Levi sigh in defeat, took out a plain white handkerchief from his pocket and use it to wipe all the tears, dirt and blood that's all over the Louisa's face. Levi's pure brother love melt the girls heart, not in a romantic-love way but more family-like.
He hushed her comforting words. Seeing the little girl cry was a weakness of him, he just barely shows it in public.
It was a lovely scene but all good things always comes to an end. The father of the child arrive, making his way towards the pair with a horse, he had a look that says, 'We'll talk when we get back home little missy.' The girl shivered and panicked.
She messed up.

Random Fact :
Louisa carries this little pouch around every time.
Inside the said container was a candy-like pills. They
are use for curing her "illness".
PS.
It kinda looks like the mermaid scales in JSHK
but smaller and crimson-red in color, same goes for
the pouch she use.

Whewwwww... That was... kind of difficult, but I finished it at last! Damn 5+ drafts...
By the time I'm writing this note, I'm listening to 'Never Gonna Give You Up', HAHAHA. I don't know why but I'm just celebrating my first finished chapter 🥳
This chapter is quite short XD
Only 1200+ words, including the notes I've put... *sighs*

I just finished reading Attack on Titan manga, the last chapter (chapter 139) and cried so hard. I honestly feel kinda bad that I started maing this story a few days before the release and published it 12 hours before the last chapter got release.
Time to say goodbye to the best anime ever 😭😭😭
Bye~ gonna be depressed for a long time since my favorite anime just ended...
