Asteria’s POV
“Hello Asteria,” She said it quietly, but of course, she was a Goddess, so quiet wasn’t exactly in her nature. Her voice was as sweet as honey and flowed through the air like the wind.
I could feel myself trembling. I hope it didn’t show as much as I feared it was but with the dress that moved and shifted color I couldn’t be sure.
“Do not be afraid of me Child,I am not what you are to fear, I am the sister of your mother, you were named after me, Asteria.” Damn. “I am Asteria, goddess of the prophecies and stars, some knowledge of the future and atmosphere you could say, your mother, Eos, is very encouraging of you.” My mother? “You are one of her few children, the other’s have lived their destiny and are old and wise now, you, however have not begun a destiny yet, your path is very unclear, even for me. i have seen more than one fate for you, never killed, always hurt, never truly whole again, that sort of thing. ” She paused and added brightly. “Most interesting thing I’ve been doing in the last 100,000 years give or take.”
I didn’t know what to say so I bowed she had spoken before I could. “Keep your head up child, we are equal in this place you will be great in your destiny, for a day you will outshine the heroes, maybe even for longer than a day. A memorial service, a Welcoming Ceremony, that sorta thing.” She paused and gave me a small and knowing smile. “Your destiny is hazy and unclear but, anyone could tell that it will lead to greatness. You-”
“But I don’t know who I am. I don’t have any memories. There’s nothing but the most basic logic in there.” I tapped my temple.
“Child, you have dark magic clouding your memories when you find different things that are important to you, you will recover your memories.” Her eyes clouded for a moment as if her mind was far away. She recovered quickly. “Hurry, there is a great force of darkness approaching you and your friends. You must go.” She waved her hand and sort of a glittery, clear haze flowed behind it like some gravity-defiant water. I blinked my eyes.

Thanks For the Memories
HumorHumorous but serious at the same time. I wrote this as a workshop writing project in reading/language arts and thought it would be nice to put as a short story on Wattpad. Enjoy!
