Deep in the country, they arrive at Dan's house just to find that no one was home. No cars in the driveway, no lights on. All of Dan's family was busy...again.

"You got your key?" questioned Ramon.

"Aw shiznic, I left it at the school." Dan said.

"How bout this, we race each other to the school in our other forms." Ramon challenged with a grin on his face.

"But I don't even know how to..." said Dan.

With that Ramon leaped into the air, shifted into his wolf form, and took off like a bolt of lightning into the woods. Dan stood in a daze over what just happened. After a couple of seconds, Dan walked around to a rather large rock beside his house, zipped up his jacket, and climbed to the top.

"Okay, I can do this... Just have to jump and believe I'm a dragon. Aaand that sounded crazy as hell." He said with laugh.

As he laughed, he lost his footing and fell 40 feet until he felt something inside him explode. Scales bluer than the ocean spread like wildfire over his body. His face elongated around his nose and ears with large horns in the back of his skull. His hands and feet contorted themselves into wicked claws, sharper than an assassin's blade. Finally his gargantuan, leathery wings sprung from his back and had him into the air in no time. He felt like he had done this a million times already. While he soared through the air at top speeds, he looked down, with the eyesight of a hawk, and saw a black blur streaking through the trees. "Hmm, the school is still about 2 miles away. If I just boost ahead now I'll most definitely beat him. The trick is...how do I get out of this form?" Dan thought to himself.

"It's not as difficult as you might think, you basically just think 'I am human, I am human' over and over and there you are." Answered Ramon with a laugh in his voice.

"Why. Are. You. In. My. Thoughts."

   "It's fun. Duh."

Dan rolled his dragon eyes with pure annoyance and spotted the outline of the school. He yielded and lowered his powerful body into the denser part of the woods. I am human, I am human. He thought to himself and almost like magic, his body was back to it's original state of pale skin, blue-green eyes, a skinny but fit figure, and a headful of messy dark brown curls. He waited by a stream, until his friend showed up. Ramon saw Dan from a distance and haulted before him. He swung his large head around from side to side, then ran off. Dan couldn't react quick enough because, he was already back with a bag in between his teeth. He went behind a tree, then emerged with tanned skin, shoulder length, wavy, black hair, golden eyes, a tall, lean figure, and fully clothed.

"Let's just walk the rest of the way." Said Ramon.

"Agreed, we need to talk about recent events and why the hell they're happening to me." Said Dan with his signature eye roll.

Ramon laughed cheerfully, and started to walk toward the school with a more than irritated Dan close behind.
