LUKE POV:
“Pass the ball man you so unfair!” I moan standing there waiting for Michael to finally pass the ball over to me so I can score the winning goal.
“No man, the winning goal is for me!” Michael exclaimed running over to the goal making sure Calum doesn’t get the ball.
I watch Michael dribble the ball with his feet. Michael thought he was brilliant at football when he actually isn’t. But I let him be a show off like he always is. Calum tries to tackle the ball off Michael but fails disgracefully. Michael with a happy face stops running when he got to the spot he was going to shoot.
“Ready to win Luke!” Michael shouts at me taking a step back to be able to kick the ball hard.
“Yeah!” I shout back still unhappy at the thought he wouldn’t let me score this final goal.
Michael thrives toward the ball and kicks it hard towards the goal. My blood pressure surely went up and my heart started racing. The ball is now in mid-air and is flying towards the goal. As the ball finally reaches Ashton catches the ball. Shit, we lost.
“Oh my God Michael you could’ve let me do it!” I shout angrily.
“Gosh man it is just a game Luke calm your tits!” Calum shouts across the small pitch.
“I ain’t got no tits man!” I complain.
“Stop arguing guys why don’t we just end the game and go for a little walk around the park?” Ashton comes over peacefully with the ball in his hand.
“Yeah and we can eat some hotdogs from that van thing” Michael says.
“Ok but you pay!” Calum hits him on the shoulder.
“Why is it always me who has to pay?” Michael complains.
“Just joking mate c’mon let’s get us some hot dogs!” Calum says quickly running to the hot dog van thing like a child.
We all finally reach the hot dog van and we are the third to first people in the queue. The people who were getting served where taking years. What were they ordering? The whole van? We started to mess around in the queue as we were bored and our legs were starting to ache. We jump up and down impatiently, we talk complete bullshit e.t.c. Finally the people who were ordering had got their food but only ordered two hotdogs! Then the two girls in front of us stepped up to the van to order and to be honest they took ages too.
“How long do people take to make hot dogs?!” Ashton says impatiently tapping his foot on the ground.
We all just sighed and a rush of excitement came to me as the girls had finished ordering. Surprisingly again, they only had two hot dogs and two jumbo drinks. We finally stepped up to order and the guy at the stand says “We only have 2 hot dogs left, sorry come back later and we will have more.”
I wonder who gonna get these.
“Its fine mate, we’ll take them.” Says Michael already eager to get the food.
The guy gets put hot dogs and Ashton sets some money on the table. He gives us the food and takes the money.
“Thanks dude” says Michael to the guy.
“It’s alright anytime” the guy says tiredly. We leave and already Michael and he leaves us with a hot dog between us.
“Dude, seriously?!” I say with evidence of anger in my voice.
He didn’t reply and walked away back to the park. I sigh in defeat and we all follow Michael. When we get to a clearing within the park, Calum pats a spot next to him for us to sit. We sit down and I look around me at the beautiful green space in front, it’s great to finally get out after a long tour with 1D.
“Look there are the girls who were in front of us in the queue sitting a couple of metres away from us” Michael exclaims.
“Oh yeah! Dares anyone?” I say with an added wink towards the two girls.
Unfortunately the blonde girl spotted me winking at them. Her face looked confused and she just carried on eating her hotdog.
“Sure I will start, think of a dare for me!” Michael says pulling his sleeves up.
Me, Calum and Ashton huddled in to think of a dare for Michael.
“I know, you know the girls over there, Michael has to ask one of them out and stay with them for a 2 weeks” Calum said whispering so that Michael doesn’t hear.
“Ok then” Me and Ash whispered. We came out of the huddle and ready to tell Michael his dare. Second thoughts, it could actually hurt the girl, you know what girls are like. Anyway, I couldn’t do anything Calum is already telling him.
“Right Mikey here’s your dare, you have to go up to those girls and ask one of them to go out with you and you have to keep this going for 2 weeks and I’ll give you $100.” Calum says sneakily.
“Okay then!” Michael says clicking his fingers and stretching his arms in the air.
He gets up from the grass and walks over confidently to the girl with her back to us. We watched eagerly at Michael and the brown hair girl.
“So hey there girl what’s your name?” Michael says confidently.
“umm… Adalia. What about you?” She says looking up at Michael sipping on her jumbo drink.
“Michael! Anyway I came up to you to ask you something. May I ask?” Michael says rocking back and forth.
“Yes what is it?” She says taking away the drink from her lips and smiling.
“Umm, well… Will you go on a date with me?” He says.
“Okay sure” Adalia says.
“I will text you about time and place okay!” Michael says taking his mobile out of his back pocket.
“Okay here’s my number” She says writing her number on her serviette.
“Thanks see you soon I will text you when I get home!” Michael says taking the serviette from her and smiling and walking away.
As he walks back to us you could tell he was extremely happy at the fact he hadn’t been rejected like other times. He comes and stands above us all and he picks up his rucksack.
“C’mon guys lets go home and watch some movies or something!” He says starting to walk away from us all.
“Okay wait up dude!” We all say running towards him to catch up.
