My name is Kayla but people call me Lil' Red. That's because I always wear my favorite Red Hood. I had brown hair and tan skin strangely my eyes were purple I don't know why but I guess that's how god made me. "Lil' Red were you goin'?" my mama asked me. "Grandma's house, she's sick." "okay be back before seven. You need to take care of Jon-Jon." I nodded and left. I was not about to walk so I took the bus to the woods were grandma lived. I swear one of these days she's gonna be a cannibal. After taking the stinky old bus to the woods I began to walk so I could get to the steep hill and to grandma's house. All was quiet and my feet were sore when I heard this rustling sound. A drop of sweat dripped down my forehead. I prayed it wasn't a rapist. Then a big wolf popped out of no where. I screamed bloody murder. "Calm the heck down little girl, where you goin'?" the wolf asked me. "Why you need to know, you gonna stalk me?" I asked nearly laughing. The wolf growled at me and I growled right back ain't no wolf gonna bring me down. It backed off and ran some where in the woods. After I climbed the steep hill I knocked on my grandma's wooden door. "Come in dear." her voice sure was raspy. "Hey grandma." I said walking towards her. "How you doin'?" I asked. "Fine." she grinned. "What big eyes you have." I said she got closer. "The better to see you with." "What stank breath you have." I said. "The better to...uh pop a mint with." "Dang, grandma you got some big donkey teeth." I said. "The better to eat you with." she replied ripping off her clothes. I screamed, it was the wolf! Then out of nowhere something jumped and hit the wolf square in the head. It passed out. "You wolf that's what you get, ain't no messin' with black girls." It was my grandma. I hugged her. She explained that she was lying in bed when the wolf stuffed her in the closet and tied her up, and she managed to get her security pan and escape. After that mess grandma felt better and we made a fur coat out of the wolf. When I got home I told my mama about my adventure and she listened like never before. Then she left to go to do some "errands". I was happy to take care of Jon-Jon and even grandma came over. What a day!
