It was already in full party mode when I arrived. The lights were dim yet they casting hot rays across the makeshift dance floor.

The air was thick and sweaty and it reeked of warm alcohol and drugstore perfume. Music was pounding from the expensive speakers, at least they didn't skimp on the quality of sound that'll likely be the cause of our untimely deafness.

There was also a keg to the side with large portion of people surrounding it in flocks.

This was just what I needed right now. A good 'Ol fashioned high school party.

"Alex!" Zack runs over to me and pats me on the back. "I didn't think you'd come."

I shrug. "I feel like dancing."

"Well do you want a drink first? There's plenty of beer."

"Yeah sure."

When he gets back with two clear plastic cups - one it each hand - I wasn't even phased to see that he shed his shirt somewhere in the process of getting alcohol. That guy finds any excuse to show of his muscles, no matter how intimidating they are. Thank goddess he's one of my best friends.

"Here you go." He hands me the cup and I thank him. "Sorry to leave you but I saw some guys having a push up contest."

"Have fun, and kick there asses!" I yell over the music.

We both go our separate ways and I find myself on the dance floor. By now almost everyone was dancing, each with there own unique drunk variations.

After one song I find my groove and get lost song after song. People came and went but one girl near the corner of the room kept her eyes on me the entire time.

I didn't mind though and just kept dancing.

"Hey buddy-" Zack was standing behind me clearly drunk if you didn't notice the incredibly slurred words and a bottle of whiskey in his hand. "-you've got to come do a keg stand."

"Umm... No thanks."

"Come on."

"I'm not coming."

He frowns before walking off in defeat. There is no possible way I'd ever be able to do a handstand. Let alone, a keg stand.

The song changes to a ke$ha song just as I get a tap on my shoulder. It was the girl that was in the corner. She was shorter than I expected, with sleek long brown hair. "Hey."

"Hi." I give her a polite wave.

Her smile goes from friendly to seductive in a millisecond. Oh man, I've got to get out of this fast. Why did I establish first contact? "I'm sorry but I've got to go, um... Do something."

I didn't even make it a foot away before her hand was on my shoulder, pulling me back in, almost spilling my beer. Oh sh*t.

"You know you look like a guy I used to date." Her eyes scan me like a robot making me even more uncomfortable.

"Uh, sorry about your breakup. I hope you find someone else."

"It's you I want tonight." She was so close I could here her whisper, and I swear I felt her tongue in my ear at one point. Gross. I was completely frozen now, either in fear or complete surprise, I'm not sure which one. "How about we get out of this place?"

"Sorry-" I try politely pushing her away but she just came back stronger, like a starfish or something. "But I'm uh... In a relationship. Yeah, super serious."

She backs off a little and does a quick look around. "I see what your saying, we'll just head upstairs then. They'll never have to know."

The girl obviously doesn't get the hint because she takes my hand and tries to lead me to the stairs. Okay. Maybe I'll just have to be blunt with it. "I'm not interested, girl."
