(sunki) when I was seventeen - the sequel

Chap 7

(they suit this concept so well guys T-T)

It has been a few days after when Ni-Ki has been to the hospital. And since then, Ni-Ki tried his best to finish his works early to come and see Sunoo. He tells the nurses to go out from the room and take care of Sunoo himself. Today he has to cut Sunoo's nails. He cuts it very gently and slowly. After cutting done the first finger, he thought that this would be easy, but no, h accidentally cut into Sunoo's skin this time. Ni-Ki panics and quickly takes a tissue to cover up the cut while looking at Kim Sun Woo. He's still laying there, his eyebrows don't frown due to he pain, if it's like normal then Sunoo would have turn mad and kick Ni-Ki already.

NI-Ki sighs, he held out his hand and touches Sunoo's hair. His eyes look deep and sad but his lips slightly smiles.

-It's okay, if you're still alive, then even if it takes 10 more years, I will still wait for you.

-How could you saved him?

-Well, it is a long story. So maybe I'll tell you later someday.

-But then, why did you hide this from me all these years?

Mr.Kim puts his coffee mug down. His tired eyes look straight into Ni-Ki's, then look somewhere else again.

-I know this could be upsetting. But I did this for you. You're the only heir, so it is not possible for you not to build up your own family and have children so they could later take on the business. If you know that Sunoo is still alive, you would a 100% wait for him. But what if he will never wake up again his whole life, then will you have to wait for your own entire life? If so then how could I even meet or look at your parents?

Ni-Ki doesn't reply, inside him is also full with frightened. Anything might happens. No one could predict the future. And no one could make sure that Sunoo will wake up again. It has been 10 years, maybe he will have to wait 10 more years, or 20, or even for the rest of his life. He loves Sunoo, and that is a fact, but will that love be enough for him to wait for Sunoo his entire life?

Today the company is having a big collaboration, and the meeting lasted longer than what Ni-Ki anticipated. Ni-Ki is panicking while driving to the hospital, somehow he felt that something bad is going to happen today. 

Ni-Ki strongly pushes the door opens, and he got shocked. The bed has been made neatly. The heart rate monitor ringing steadily is now also gone. There's no one in the room.

-Excuse me, where's the patient in room number 603??

The nurse surprisingly looks at the guy in front of him, Ni-Ki's face is getting red due to the panic attack he's about to have.

-I'm sorry, but...there's no room 603 in our hospital.

-...what?

Ni-Ki froze, what is the nurse saying??? Don't tell him that he's just imagining things up, or is this just a dream? Ni-Ki's head suddenly got dizzy, the scene around him got blurry and slowly fades away.

When he wakes up, Ni-Ki saw himself lying on his own bed at home. He sits up, his head is still aching, but whatever, he quickly flies towards his desk and starts searching for the information about that hospital, and realizes that there's no room 603.

-Master.

Ni-Ki got startled and turns around, it's his butler.

-You are still very weak now, please take some rest.

-What happened to me??

-You have been working unstopping these days without rest so you got exhausted, you have been lying unconsciously for 2 days now.

Ni-Ki got silent and doesn't speak. So after all, it's still a dream.

Ni-Ki sits down on the bed, shakes his head and smiles.

-If it's already a dream at least I should have seen him waking up.

The butler tilts his head slightly, it seems like he's confused with what Ni-Ki just said. When he's about to ask then Ni-Ki already stood up and stops his sentence. Ni-Ki's face is still pale and looks sick but it seems like his mind is refreshed.

-Prep the car for me.

The car stops in front of a big bar. Ni-Ki throws the car key to the guards and and slowly walks in. And not even until a minute, a bunch of women gathered around Ni-Ki and flirts with him. Ni-Ki smirks, and just kept on drinking. He wants to drown his mind in this loud beats and all the alcohol.  He doesn't want himself to be so conscious anymore, because if so, maybe he'll see Sunoo again. 

And so, Ni-Ki had drank lots of bottles, so much that we can't even count. Then he suddenly hugs the one sitting the closest to him. All the people around start cheering, there's a few jealous looks, and that girl is of course super happy, it seems like her smile has been spreading 'til her ears (like Pennywise ya know?). Ni-Ki hugs her even tighter, imagining that the person he is hugging is Sunoo, and then he touches that strange face, the pain has covered his mind, he pulls that girl closer....and kiss her.
