𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒕𝒐 𝑬 !

EDEN MURRAY, who is she? No one knows where to start. Her mom? In Arizona with her new boyfriend and their older daughter. Her dad? With his girlfriend in New York. Her brothers? In Texas. Her best friend Olivia? Right here by her side.

Eden only had some family and that included her closest friends like Olivia Rodrigo. Olivia and Eden go way back it's like they were blood sisters.

Eden and Olivia walked down the quiet streets of California. "Livia I am not going to play his stupid games and date him! You know what happened last time." Eden argued. "Just give him a chance because you're gonna see him soon!" Olivia said excitedly.

We walked into Checkers and ordered. We got our food and left to go to our audition. Olivia went first then it was me second.

I walked into the room and they asked for my name and the part I wanted. "Hello my name is Eden Murray and I will be auditioning for the part Gina Porter," I said smiling.

"May I sing "Breakin' Free"?" I asked. "Oh uh yeah sure but I want you to sing it with Joshua, Joshua Bassett." Someone behind the table named, John said as he qued a boy to come in.

"Oh um hey Joshua! This is the girl you will sing and audition with, Eden." John said pointing at me as I waved at the boy.

He had blonde-ish brown-ish hair. It was curly but he could keep it tamed. I liked his hair.

We discussed how it would go then we told John that we were ready to do our audition.

"We're soarin', flyin' there's not a star in heaven that we can't reach if we're tryin', so we're breakin' free." Joshua and I sung.

Not gonna lie he sounded amazing.

"You know the world can see us in a way that's different than who we are." Joshua sang like a damn angel.

"Creating space between us, 'til we're separate hearts." I sang as I looked at him.

"But your faith, it gives me strength." We both sung. Our voices mixed very well together but I don't wanna be in the show with him. He seems like he'd just be annoying.

We finished the song and they told us to check for callbacks.

Just so yall know I don't like him. He swooped in and said 'don't worry I'll just make this go well for me because I have an AMAZING voice' like who does that?

Maybe I am being a bit paranoid but, no this amazing singer is not going to take the little spotlight I have.

I closed my thoughts and I left the room. Joshua was right behind me. He tapped my shoulder lightly causing me to flinch a little.

"Oh um are you okay?" He asked. He seemed a bit nervous but I don't mind it. "Yeah thank you for asking but, why did you need me?" I asked as Olivia walked up to us.

He seemed as if he were going to stare into my stole and steal it. "Would you like to go on a date with me?" He asked as Olivia nudged my shoulder just a bit.

"Oh-" "She said yes you kiddos have fun!" Olivia said cutting me off as we walked away.

"Livia! Why did you do that? I didn't even know if I liked the damn boy!" I whisper-yelled. "You need to get out and this is just a perfect chance!" She argued.
