"Izayoi Kyuuemon... Was a student of yours?", Kinji asked as Yoshitaka stood up and told him, "That one made for quite the talented ninja, once upon a time...

"I was considering letting them follow in my footsteps... But, after a time, they began... To underestimate, fret, and fear their competence...

"And in the end, chose the wrong path...", he finished, "I don't intend to make the same mistake!", Kinji exclaimed.

"You sure about that?", Yoshitaka asked as he jumped down towards Kinji and continued, "I told you, you could become my student if you defeated my grandchildren and my other pupil.

"And now you tell me you're all grown close and can't find it in yourself to fight them. How naïve.", he commented and poked Kinji's chest.

"No... I...", Kinji trailed, "I will not train those who are so easily swayed.", Yoshitaka blurted as he stared at a distance.

"There can be only be one Last Ninja... Do not mistake it for something that can be shared, like a school lesson.", he advised.

TIME SKIP

Taka laid on the mat as he muttered, "I wish something hot would happen...", as he leisure himself.

"What's wrong, Taka?", Yakumo asked as he, Kasumi and Yami drank tea, and Fuuka and Nagi came back from school.

"We're back.", Fuuka called, "Welcome home.", Kasumi and Yami greeted, "Welcome back.", Yakumo greeted.

"Your bag...", Fuuka pointed as Nagi removed his bag and Kasumi asked, "Was school fun today?", Fuuka answered, "Normal, I guess."

Nagi took out his English homework and trailed, "Yakkun, about my English homework...", as Yakumo cuts him off, "I'm not helping."

"You're supposed to do homework by yourself.", he scolded, "Aw... fine, then.", Nagi then called Kinji, "Hey, Star!", as Kinji appeared in the hidden wall.

"I guess you noticed.", he commented, "Can you help with my homework?", Nagi asked, "I reckon I can't be helping you folks anymore. From here on out... consider me a proper assassin.", Kinji assisted and left, leaving behind his apron.

"What happened with him...?", Nagi mumbled as Taka found a piece of paper, "What's this?", he asked, "Oh, those were posted up all over town...", Fuuka answered.

Taka looked at the poster and stood up, "Now this is hot! Let's enter this thing! I'm getting fired up!", he exclaimed as Yakumo took the poster and read.

"Ninja Sports Festival"

"A Njnja Sports Festival?", the five questioned.

THE NEXT DAY

Poppers popped in the air and the piñata opened, "Sirs! I... That is, we... Will hold up the principals of Ninjamanship... And compete fair and square... And instead of hiding... We swear to run wild!", Taka greeted.

The judges didn't react as Fuuka commented, "For a sports festival... It looks like we're the only ones participating."

"No. That doesn't quite seem to be the case.", Kasumi corrected her as they saw more ninjas hiding behind the trees.

"Hey, they're all hiding. Should we be hiding too?", Nagi asked, "Alright! We're not gonna lose... To a buncha hiding ninja!", Taka shouted.

Fuuka, Nagi and Yami cheered, "Yeah!", Taka commanded, "Let's go!", as he, Nagi, Fuuka, and Yami huddled and cheered.

"Okay!", Taka cheered as the festival begins, "Our first round, the tree flag challenge!", the announcer announced.

"The first to grab the flag atop that tree wins.", one of the judged added, "On your marks... Get set...", the gun fired and the ninjas began to run.
