The Difference Between Us

Day 2

The next day, (Y/N) woke up early to prepare themselves to go somewhere. It was 8 in the morning when Jel was supposed to go to headquarters to work on his song, but because he took a day off, he was still asleep, peacefully snoring away. (Y/N) looked at him, his face was a lot different when they first met. He have eye bags from working countless overnights, his messy, orange hair had flopped in front of his face while sleeping. A part of (Y/N) felt light inside them, feeling all the sudden warmth radiating in them. "It's been a while I have felt this feeling." They thought as they held their heart. After getting ready, they tried making something for breakfast for Jel. When he woke up, he was welcomed with an aromatic smell that came from the kitchen. He came out of the bedroom not long after he got out of bed. He stretched for a bit and for a long time, he got some good sleep and he enjoyed it.

"Good morning, my little strawberry." Jel greeted (Y/N) as he pecked (Y/N) on the cheek. "Good morning, Jel." (Y/N) greeted Jel with a small smile. "I made us some ramen. I know it's not the best time to eat ramen but there wasn't anything else to make so i hope you like it. " While (Y/N) was cleaning up the kitchen, Jel looked over at the table to see two bowls of ramen along with some handmade Jiaozi, a dumpling that was made in Chinese restaurants. Jel could not wait to try those. He came over to the kitchen to help (Y/N) with the cleaning. "Jel, it's okay. I can handle this. " (Y/N) said while taking the cutleries that Jel was washing. "You sure? I think i can take it from here, strawberry. " Jel said, gently taking the plate from (Y/N)'s hands. "Wait for me and I'll be done soon, kay?". After Jel finished washing, he came to the table and each one of them said their prayers before eating. "I'm grateful to be waking up and seeing you by my side everyday. " Jel said and looked over at (Y/N). "I'm grateful that I'm still alive waking up from my sleep. "(Y/N) murmured. After saying each of their prayers, they started eating their breakfast. "Itadakimasu!" Jel said, picking up his chopsticks and ate his food.

The ramen was scrumptious as usual with Jel finishing it really fast. He noticed something intriguing when he was eating. He noticed (Y/N) had trouble eating their ramen. That is what he always liked about them, their flaws are their imperfections. Even though (Y/N) didn't like it, he loved them no matter how they are or what they are. "Having trouble there, honey?" Jel asked smiling. "Well, it's just been a while since I've held a pair of chopsticks and holding the chopsticks are not my thing. " (Y/N) said, looking down with an embarrassed face. "Hey, don't feel embarrassed over something small. You just need to be yourself." Jel reassured them. "He loves me... for who I am?" (Y/N) thought before smiling out of nowhere. It wasn't a happy smile but a smile that can break people's heart from sadness. "Thank you, Jel. For always loving me for who I am." (Y/N) said smiling and tears formed in their eyes. "Hey, don't cry. It's okay. You're the only one I will always hold on and cherish with. " Jel said going over to (Y/N)'s side. "I'll always be by your side, no matter how good or bad things are. " Jel reassured before giving a small kiss to (Y/N)'s cheek and wiping away their tears. "Now, shall I help you to eat your ramen?" Jel said picking (Y/N)'s chopstick and took some noodles. (Y/N) had always loved Jel's small and kind actions even when it was not needed.

After that, Jel and (Y/N) went to the market for some shopping. "Strawberry, if you want to buy anything, I'll gladly spend it on you kay?" Jel said, patting their head. "I do want to buy something. From Aunt Calli" (Y/N) said, taking Jel's hand to find the latter's stall. Jel felt the cold and chills running in his veins when he took (Y/N)'s hand. He felt that he needed to know something from them but he isn't one to push someone's limit so he waited. Once they found the stall, Aunt Calli saw (Y/N) approaching her and gave them a warm hug. "Oooh, so good to see you again, (Y/N)-chan. You have grown so much. " Aunt Calli said as she broke the hug and saw how much (Y/N) had grown. She is the only one that knows (Y/N)'s situation and quite worried about it as well. (Y/N) treats her as their Aunt because she was the only one that helped them when they were in a desperate situation.
