kailea got off the bus and held her breath.

it was only the day before that her mother had informed her that she would be working at a local college, and for that reason her daughter would be able to study there at half price.

it was a dream coming true for the girl and for that reason she cried for hours of joy.

it was all so big and unreal. thousands of people walked left and right with textbooks or bags in hand. some talked to each other, others laughed, others were making out and others were just silent.

"well sweetheart, good luck today." then she kissed her on the forehead. "i'll see you at noon. i love you!"

"i love you too mom! i am so grateful for everything!" kai replied with tears of joy.

"of course, my child. i do everything for you and your sister, you two are my everything." she hugged her tightly, waved goodbye and they separated.

when kailea entered the large, wide hall, the first thing she did after swallowing her joy was to look at her program.

biology. she had to find the biology classroom.

she looked around. there were all kinds of classrooms around, but not one for biology.

"excuse me, did you get lost?" she heard a voice behind her after some time wandering.

kai turned to the figure in question and saw a short girl with long black hair.

"yeah, i think so. i'm looking for the biology classroom." she replied embarrassed.

"well it is on the second floor." the girl laughed lightly. "if you want to i'll take you there. i'm rebecca by the way."

"i'm kailea. and if it's not a problem, you can take me."

"why would it be a problem? i also have biology now so it's on my way. and i saw that you must be new, because i haven't seen you until now."

"yes, i am new."

"are you coming from another college?"

"well, not really, i just signed up."

"a little late, but you look smart and i'm sure you'll catch up quickly."

"thank you." she blushed and lowered her head slightly.

"c'mon, let's find the biology classroom."

a few minutes later the two girls stopped in front of a huge wooden door with the word "biology" graved on it.

"we are here." said rebecca and went in and kai followed. "i would suggest you to sit next to me, but i'm sitting next to another girl and it would be a little bad to dump her."

"no, it's okay. i will sit alone, don't worry." she smiled and sat down, and kailea headed to the back, as that was the only free seat. everyone stared at her, and some even introduced themselves, smiling sweetly at her.

the class was in it's middle when the door opened. kailea didn't bother to look at who it was, because she was solving some kind of equivalence test.

"why are you late again?" the teacher told someone.

"i overslept, ma'am. aren't you used to it?" everyone laughed.

"i'm gonna call your parents."

"okay? what am i supposed to do about it?"

"ugh, sit down." the old woman replied angrily, ending their little argument.

"and where should i sit?" the boy's monotonous voice broke the silence again.
