(A/N: So I thought about it and since she has a slightly different name in the movie, instead of Y/N its going to be N/N which is nickname or something but I'm trying😓. Y/N is her real/princess name and N/N is the name she grew up with.)

~But what they didnt know was that their lost princess was in fact nearby.....
‐-------------------------------------------------------------

A couple miles off the road stood a nice old fashioned orphanage that made it look cozy and warm against the cold wind outside.

The children inside were gathered up at the window as light snow fell, blocking a bit of there view. But they weren't watching the snow. They saw there mean headmistress head outside along with a girl who mistakenly looked like a boy due to her raggedy old clothes and her hair being tucked in her hat. N/N was 18 now and from what orphanage rules say, she was now a young adult and ready to leave to find a job.

"I got you a job in the Fish Factory. You go straight down this path till you get to the fork in the road, go left and- are you even listening to me?!" The headmistress spoke with her thick, rich, Russian accent.

"Bye, bye everybody,!"
N/N turns back to the headmistress.

"Yes, I'm listening Comrade Phlegmenkof." N/N says in a monotone voice.

"You've been a thorn in my side for years since you were brought here." Phlemenkof complained as she grabs N/N's scarf and drags her towards the gate.

"He-hey!"

"Acting like the Queen of Sheba, instead of the nameless no account you are!"

N/N gets the scarf off her neck.

"And for the last ten years I've fed you, clothed you, I've kept a roof over your head...."

"Kept a roof over my head" N/N mimicks her.

Phlegmenkof opens the gates."Oh! How is it that you dont have a clue as to who you were before you came to us but yet you remember all that?!"

"Oh, but I do have a clue to-"

N/N holds her neckless, fidgeting with it for the millionth time shes had it.

"Ugh! I know, I know!" Phlegmenkof interrupted. She grabs the necklace out from N/N's hand and pulls it towards her, along with N/N.

" "Together in Paris." Hmm... So, you want to go to France to find your family, huh?"

N/N nods smiling. "Mm-hmm".

Phlegmenkof laughs. She let's go of N/N and her necklace.
"You? In Paris? Ha! Please...." she continues to laugh.

"I dont think it's funny! In fact I think its definitely possible I'll make it to Paris... one day!" N/N retorted.

"Oh Sweet Little Miss N/N, I hate to tell you this-"

"She really doesn't. She's more then happy to!" N/N thought.

"But its time to take your place in life, in line, and in order." Phlegmenkof pushes N/N out and throws the scarf into the snow. She closes the gates behind her.

"And be grateful too!" Phlegmenkof laughs but coughs afterwards.

N/N looks back seeing the orphanage one last time, before leaving.

N/N walks on the snow covered road, coming across the fork in the road Phlegmenkof told her about.
"Be grateful, N/N" she mimicks the headmistress. Then talking in her normal voice "I am grateful! Grateful to get away!" She sighs. When she realizes where she is she stops. One sign points left to "Fisherman's Village" and the other one that, points right, goes to St. Petersburg.
