Dad..Who?! Chapter 4

"Hey Deku how come your Dad's never home?" Katsuki asked as he flopped down on Deku's bed.

"I don't know I've never even met him actually" Deku responded laying right next to his best friend. "Wait really you've never met him? Does you mom have any pictures of him??" Katsuki sat upon the bed followed by Deku.

"No she doesn't I asked her once but she just changed the subject" Deku looked down sadly.
"Hey Deku don't cry I didn't mean to ask" Katsuki pulled Deku into a hug, "Kacchan will you always be there for m-me?". Deku asked trying to calm himself down.
Katsuki thought for a moment but he didn't hesitate to say "of course Izuku I promise"...

Boom boom boom pov

I woke up covered in sweat and my breathing wasn't even, what was that dream? Why was it an old memory?
All these questions filled my brain as I was trying to control my breathing.

It then hit me like the sludge monster that took me hostage, I broke that promise..

Deku POV

I arrived home a little late so find my mom reading a book with her glasses on.

"Oh Izuku your finally home you had me worried for a bit, did anything happen?" He as usually my mom is as worried as ever.

"No mom I'm fine I just ran into Kacchan on my way home." She sighs in relief and puts her book down to hug me. Something felt off though she seemed sad.

"Mom are you okay you seem sad?". She releases her mama bear hug and looks at me. "Oh Izuku I'm fine it's just your going to be another year older tomorrow already" I drop my bag and hug my mom reassuring her it's not something to worry about.

Or at least that's what I thought.

"Knock knock Inko I know your in there"...
