complicated feelings

Marinette's POV

I am currently walking home from Alya's house at 10pm because we were planning my 17th birthday that will be in a week. It was already dark outside but i didn't want Alya to come with me and then let her go home alone. So i just went home alone without turning into Ladybug because Tikki was a little bit sick and i don't want her to suffer from an unnecessary transformation. "I will go through the park, it's faster. " I said out loud while crosssing the street. Tikki agreed and we went through the gate.

"Usually Paris is very lively at this hour but somehow I can't see anybody.", I thought while looking around the park. I just shook my head a little bit and continued to walk. Suddenly someone seems to walk in my direction. At first I didn't paid attention to the approching figure but it turned out to be a mistake.  I thought he just wants to head into the other direction by passing by me but suddenly I got a really bad feeling, like the Ladybug screaming in me. Now a drunk man in his 30s is standing in front of me and doesn't let me through.

"Excuse me.", I started speaking ,"Could you please let me pass?". "Seems like you need some company!", the man said. "I don't think that. Please let me get through!", I started to panic. He reached his hand out and  I feel a cold sweat breaking out of my body. I knew that I couldn't do anything right now and a really bad feeling was bubbling up.

He grabbed my shoulder as i wanted to escape. He seems to get angrier everytime I wanted to say or do something. I was begging for someone to save me.  And then...

Chat Noir's POV

Today is a really beautiful night in Paris. I was glad that today was my turn to go on patrol. I was just jumping from one building to another, when I suddendly saw something in the corner of my eye.

Suddenly I stopped on a bulding next to the park. "Did I just see Mari?", I thought while looking back to the her direction. I saw a blue-haired girl and realised I was smiling while watching her on her way. After my realisation I shook my head and looked again, just to see someone standing in front of her. The very next moment I felt an ugly feeling coming up.

Without a second thought I jumped next to a tree that's not even 3m away from Marinette.

Marinette's POV

And then I heard a nose next to a tree. I glanced over to see a silhouette with sheining green eyes, glowing out of the dark in my direction. Never have I ever been so happy to see a black cat. Chat Noir calmly come over as he said "Good evening, princess." Shortly after the greeting the drunk man looked at him while Chat has grabbed his wrist. I think that his wrist made an unhealty noise?

After he grabbed his wrist he pushed the man away and stood protectivly infront of me. "Chat.." I sighed quitly under my breath. While the man tried his best to stand up , Chat started a one-sided conversation "I really don't like people touching my princess but touching her without her approval, pisses me off even more. SO..I think you get that i'm not in a good mood right now, right? So piss off or I will help you to do so." Chat said in a deep and scary tone while glaring at the man as he runs away.

The superhero turns around to me just to see a worried look on his face. As I look at that face my legs started to lose strength and I almost fall. The next second I find myself in strong arms as the black suited boy starts asking in a comforting tone " Are you alright?". I smile lightly and answer "Now I am, thanks to you..kitty.".  "Anything for you princess." he continued. "But if he had touched you only a second longer- I think I would have broken a couple of bones tonight!". I started to smirk as the blond haired boy expressions went from worried to angry. At this moment he looks down to me and his grass-green eyes soften,"It's time to gome home, isn't it?" Chat said and I nodded.

"Why do I feel so safe in his arms?" I ask myself while Chat Noir holds me.

Chat Noir's POV

After the whole situation I realised that I have a real problem with my possessiveness. "But I am proud of me that I haven't broke some bones! And he should be glad that I just pushed him. For scaring Marinette like that I should have-" I got cut out of my thoughts, when Marinette asked something.

"What did you say, Marinette?" I asked confused. "I asked why were you there?"she repeats her question. "Oh- I was on patrol and then saw you with that creep." I explained, with a disgusted mien, while holding her in my arms.

"We have arrived at your destination, little miss." I said while putting her down. She giggles and says "Thank you, my Knight.". "Oh my god was she always this beautiful-" I stopped my thoughts and tried to go so she doesn't see how hard I blush right now. "It's late you should go to sleep, good night princess.."

Marinette's POV

Chat turned and wanted to leave but after seeing his back my hands started to tremble with fear again. So I reached out to his hand. "E-Ehm kitty.." I stutter while holding his hand as he turns around "What's wrong?" He asked with questioning green eyes. "Could you- I mean- If you want and have time-"I tried to continued but the Cat standing infront of me take action. "Don't be shy. What do you want to ask? Ask me." he smiled lightly. I took a deep breath and started over "I'm kind of scared to be alone right now.. Can you stay a little longer?".

His eyes widened and he smirks, "Are you trying to seduce me right now?". I blushed really hard and start to panic. He just laughed at my reaction and says "How I said earlier anything for you princess. Of course I can stay a little longer."

I sighed in relieve and said quietly "You really are my hero, kitty.".
