"No! Absolutely no way am I moving my entire life from Aberdeen to the south of England a second time for someone else's job!" Chloe had worked so hard to get back home to Aberdeen after being moved to Holby at the age of 14 for Ange's consultant role on the YAU.
"You always say you love me yet you won't stick with me, make your mind up Chloe. I can protect you when you are with me, I can't protect you from hundreds of miles away. Someone will hurt you" Evan wasn't abusive yet, at least not in Chloe's eyes, he could definitely be manipulative but she was just so blinded by the fact an older man had any interest in her.
"I'm happy here Evan. I won't be happy in London!" Chloe knew he wouldn't like her tone, he was easy to upset like that.
"DON'T use that tone with me you silly little girl!" Evan slapped her across the face, enough to leave a mark.
Chloe held her cheek, tearing up and just looking at Evan in slight disgust.
"I'm sorry Chloe, you just pushed me over the edge but I didn't mean it. I love you really." He was so clearly manipulative, but she still fell for his act.
"I-I love you too...sorry for angering you. Can we just go to bed?" Chloe thought that really would be the only time Evan hit her, oh how wrong she'd be.
