Tick, Tock
goes the clock
as I watch the arms spin 'round.
Tick, Tock
goes the clock
as the class grows loud.
Ring-Ding
goes the bell
as I dart my eyes around the room.
Ring-Ding
goes the bell
as the drums next door go BOOM!
Clack-Tap
goes my shoes
as I stroll along in the hall.
Clack-Tap
goes my shoes
as I walk in like Cinderella at the ball.
Slide-Glide
goes my chair
as I pull it out.
Slide-Glide
goes my chair
as students holler about.
Ring-Ding
goes the bell
as I dart my eyes around the room.
Ring-Ding
goes the bell
as kids next door shout "BOOM!"
I huff out a breath
and lay down my head
ready for this day to end
and hop into bed.
Minutes seem to pass,
slowly yet fast,
and kids begin to whisper.
The crowd goes wild,
way beyond mild,
and one kid starts to whimper.
Tick, Tock
goes the clock
