Azure curled up, her snout under her tail. The wind blew softly between the trees.
The soft sound of the rustling leaves lured her to sleep.
She drifted into a gentle dream.
Little did she know, the dream may have been more of a nightmare.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
"Conch!" A spirited, teasing voice yelped as a spray of water came her direction. She shrieked in playful fear.
"You're getting Azure wet!" She giggled as the SeaWing next to her splashed the cool water on her. Atlas, the dragon holding her dragonet, stepped out of the cool, refreshing ocean water. She set the dragonet down on the sand, cooing.
"Who's a good dwagon?" she nudged her snout near Azure, who giggled gleefully and held out her talons, reaching for her mother's snout. "Yes, it's you!" Atlas tickled her with a talon playfully. Conch stepped to her side, wrapping his large wing around Atlas, and picked up his dragonet.
"She's beautiful."

"No!" Atlas roared in anger, furious.
"Conch, Conch! Take my talon!" She spoke. Desperately, hurriedly, worriedly. The storm raged on, the waves rocked higher than Atlas had ever seen. She flapped her two wings so hard they seemed invisible, she huffed, out of breath.
"Please! Just take it!" she stretched out a talon to Conch, who was falling under the waves. He was dangerously close to the rocks on the shore. The grey ocean waves were at an alarmingly high hight.
"Atlas." Conch's voice echoed, Atlas, Atlas, Atlas, Atlas. She stopped for a split second, tears in her eyes.
"Conch." She had whispered quietly, but she knew he would hear her. Conch, Conch, Conch, Conch. Atlas reached out again in desperation. I will not lose him now. Please. Conch attempted a smile.
"Atlas, you can't possibly drag me to the shore."
"Yes I can! Let me try at least!" Tears streamed down her face.
"I love you. Keep Azure safe." A genuine smile appeared on Conch's beautiful face, then he stopped moving, and was swept away.
Atlas hovered in the air, as if she would not process what she just went though. The rain pelted her, getting in her scales and getting her wings heavy with water.
Atlas hovered there. Unmoving.
Atlas, Atlas, Atlas, Atlas
Conch, Conch, Conch, Conch
I love you.
