TRIGGER WARNING: MENTIONS OF SUICIDE, SELF-HARM, BLOOD

I recommend to play the song "Can you hold me" by NF while reading this

------------------------------

It was really early in the morning, around 3 am, the street lamps were shining through the thick heavy darkness.

The thunder was wild and everyone was asleep except one girl.

The girl walked through the streets in black clothes with the hood on, her hoodie was soaking wet from the rain but she didn't care.

Why was the world so cruel? Was this really the destiny?

Puddles of water on the ground created by the calming rain were mixing with the fresh salty tears as they rolled down the cheeks from the sore red eyes, as the girl wasn't even trying to stop them from escaping anymore.

Drowning herself in the burning sensation of alcohol, and the pleasurable escape she found in sex seemed like the most satisfying way to forget.

Forget at least for a moment.

But nothing lasts and it all hits back again.

The glass bottle in her hand that used to be full of the alcoholic beverage was now just a bunch of shards lying on the street, as the light from the street lamps was falling on the sharp tips of the shards, shining into the night.

Red liquid running down the fingertips of the woman dripping on the ground as she squeezed one of the shards in her palm, was it relieving enough?

She kept walking through the long empty street as her head was full of thoughts, that kept coming and changing, she was tired, cold and hungry, but she figured soon she will be in her lovers embrace, that it is worth it, her steps were slow and peaceful, like walking through the war field after the war was over, like to accompany someone on their last journey on Earth.

She was tired, so so tired, people always wanted something from her, and in the end, when she thought she could finally get a break, she didn't, and it all turned against her, no peace, no calm, nothing.

Her journey was coming to an end, she remembered her beautiful wife, and how painful it was, she didn't stop, all she wanted was to come to her love and hug her, hold her, love her.

The world needed her, and she always tried to help people, save them, guide them, but she couldn't save everyone. You can never save everyone.

The calm murmur of the sea was like music into her ears as the rain was getting harder and harder, she dropped the sharp piece of shard as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. All the pain, all the struggle, it's going to end now, and she will finally be free.

Free, and happy.

Cold air was hitting her body, and for a moment where she felt like she was flying, all the weight from her shoulders was now carried away by the wind, she felt that the pain was finally coming to an end, and when the air wasn't surrounding her anymore, she knew this was finally it.

Darkness. Only darkness, when she opened her eyes, there was nothing, but when she closed them again, she felt warmth in her chest and on her scarred tanned skin, and when she opened her eyes again, she saw a big gate in front of her, and a bright shine coming from it.

Her ocean-blue eyes noticed a female figure walking out of the bright light, she had long beautiful black hair, and those emerald green eyes she was getting lost in, the warm smile her wife always awarded her with years ago, and now after three years, she was able to see it again.

As the other woman, dressed in a gorgeous velvety soft dress approached her, she held her pale small hand out for the girl she's been missing for so long as the other girl gladly held her hand. The beautiful woman in front of her gave her a sweet smile as she hugged her tightly.

"Hello Korra, I was waiting for you."
