SLEEP TALKER
"I didn't mean to freak you
out!" Five hours ago or more,
Mikasa's parents bid goodbye
and she was ( somehow ) left
alone in the living room with
Ruru's mom ( Sylvie ) and the
woman was nice─ too nice,
but she expected that. However soon, it was time for her to go upstairs since sleep was calling her name but in some ways, she felt very unlucky to be sleeping in a room with Ruru.
During her first night at the Kapinga's ( Sylvie clarified that this was how it is spelled ), Mikasa started to feel a bit, well, paranoid. Sure, tell it like it is.
She could see shapes of many things in that room such as; a body and one that wasn't Ruru's. Then, the head shape of a humongous doll which in the morning─ she realized was just the laundry bag that was placed at the corner of the room ( It's weird and she feels weird and she doesn't know why she thought it was a doll ).
"It's fine, really. Didn't bother me at all." It did, in fact, bother her and a lot more than she thought it would.
Hearing someone whisper things such as leave me alone or the cat is out at a time like one am was really terrifying and strange and just─ weird. It was even weirder because Ruru would say things in French and the first time Mikasa heard it, she thought it was some sort of spell.
FIRST DAY
At the kapinga's and Ruru's voice echoes in the hall, "Hey, I was wondering if you could help with the animals for a bit today. I know I probably shouldn't be asking you─ wait or should I? But you know, could you help?"
Mikasa didn't exactly like animals but they aren't a bother either.
"Sorry, I'll do it alo─ "
"It's fine, I'll help." Her words brought a smile on Ruru's lips.
PIGS? HATE 'EM
She should've said no. This
was weird and Mikasa felt
dirty and disgusting and
nasty. She felt like acting
out like those elementary
schoolers who would be
throwing a fit in front of
the school. The ugly criers. This wasn't bad in the beginning. The cows were adorable, but she just wasn't expecting them to have to take care of the pigs too.
Her eyes were gloomy and she looked almost ( there should be no almost but an exactly ) straight out of a funeral. At some point, she felt mud drip from her hands and she felt her socks were wet.
Ruru, on the other hand felt extremely bad and as if she was close to getting yelled at. In her mind, she asked the father who created it all for forgiveness and tried her best to block out the any thoughts telling her that he won't hear her. She couldn't stop apologizing to Mikasa but all the disgusted girl did was frown ( this was really bad for Ruru ).
"I'll head back and get a towel for myself."
"No! I'll get it for you, it's the least I could do." It's also because Ruru fears that she'll have to clean the house if Mikasa goes inside with all this dirt.
The pigs didn't like her, that's for sure.
BREAKFAST AT 12:45She know felt clean and was
also sitting down the dining
chair, eating. While ruru was washing the dishes she should've done the night before, Mikasa was enjoying her food. She bopped her head up, down, up down, and some more. It's a habit she picked up from Sasha, a friend back home.
BEFORE THE FOOD
While waiting for Ruru
to come back with the
towel, Mikasa came up
with an agreement with
herself to take this time
to scan her surrounding
and perhaps enjoy the view.Of course, while excluding the pigs who oinked at her ( she decides that they are saying bad words so she scowls at them and it seems to scare them a tiny bit ).
13:30 & DONE EATINGShe stood up and made her
way to the kitchen and she
wasn't going to lie to herself,
she left bad about adding a
plate to the sink while Ruru
most likely just finished
washing the past ones. She reached for the wood door that separated the kitchen and dining. The door was already open─ well, kind of and so all she really had to do was give it a little push.
She notices Ruru letting her back make contact with the fridge, holding her phone as it looked as if she paused on a video while trying to stop herself from smiling or laughing.
"You okay?" asked Mikasa. She slowed her steps while Ruru walked closer, unpausing the video.
IT'S NOT SO FUNNY SOWhy is she throwing back
her head and letting out a
loud laugh. Why is it that
her stomach is hurting
and Mikasa felt a tiny tear
stream down ( it's weird and
she feels like Sasha ).Ruru on the other hand, was holding onto the counter and feeling that if she happen to let go, her knees would bring her to the floor.
It's not the video that's so ridiculously hilarious but Ruru trying her best to explain it to Mikasa. It's not the comments under the video either that are written in French and that she can barely process. It's the failed attempt her so called roommate had at trying to make this make any sense to her. And it's also her finally understanding the video and Ruru finding her late response to it another thing to laugh at.
Just hearing the audio of the a random video made the girls let out chuckles as one tried to stop herself from being too loud and the other almost started choking.
Ruru tries to make a comment but before she could even finish her sentence, they both go back to laughing─ again.
And they were loud and sounded alive. Their laughters could be heard all around the house and although they didn't sound necessarily pretty ( because to Ruru, they both sounded like the Hyenas from the movie, Lion King ), the two girls sounded like they had fun and this was important to Ruru.
She felt proud for making the serious looking Mikasa laugh this much.
