The young girl giggled.
"Mommy, ready or not, here I come!"
A game of hide and seek gone wrong.
"Mommy, where are you? I can sense you!" The girl kept giggling, the star pin in her hair jumping up and down every time the girl jumped.
A rustling noise alerted the child.
"Mommy, I heard you! I know you're here-"
A beautiful yet young woman's head rolled from behind the plastic backs.
"Mommy?"
The girl continued to search for her mother.
"Mommy? I'm getting scared, can we stop playing?"
The girl yelled around the house.
A thump made the young girl rush upstairs to the balcony. She opened the door.
"Mommy, why are you there? Daddy went there to go to a better place, so why are you there?"
The girl looked confused, tears still running down her face from the fear of losing her mom earlier.
"Mommy can't take care of you, honey. Take care of yourself. Oh, and remember how Daddy made his last wish before he went to a better place?"
The girl just nodded, unsure of what was happening.
"Life a happy life, ok honey? That's mommy's last wish."
"Mommy-?"
Without even a moment of hesitation, the mother jumped from the balcony.
THUNK-SPLAT.
"...mommy?"
