~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Chapter one: The Discovory~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 16 year old Riley sat on her couch her best friend next to her. Her parents were away on

their anniversary in Fiji for the week. She played with her carved crystal tiger necklace.

Chance laughed at her. “Board much?” he asked she smiled and threw a pillow, hitting

him square in the face “jerk!” she laughed. He grabbed another pillow “prepare to eat

your words!” he laughed when the room started to shake parts of the ceiling fell down in

front of Riley. she screamed and Chance’s eyes grew big his mouth gaping with a

soundless scream. For a moment there was a split second were their eyes met then all went

black as the house fell apart from a large impact.

Riley sat up groggily “worst nightmare ever” said breathed dizzy she opened her

eyes and looked around. She screamed again as she glanced around at the rubble of the

town she once called her home. Tears flooded down her face as the horror struck her. The

town was gone, destroyed, but how she did not know. The air was filled with a thick smoke

making her eyes water more and making it hard to breathe.

Her heart raced quicker than a frightened mouse. Then the realization struck her

“Chance!” she yelled scanning the bricks and beams she once called her house “Chance!”

she repeated as she cried harder she fell to her knees in pure shock and horror. Her breath

came short and quick. A small puddle was in front of her. For the first time she realized

how her throat cried for something cool to drink. She crawled forward and dipped her

hands in the cool liquid. Her hands shook as she slowly put the water to her lips and took

a drink. She whipped her mouth and splashed her face tried to wake up as if this was just

a big dream. She gazed into the puddle with utter loss. Again she screamed. from her

head there were two large orange and lack striped cat ears she opened her mouth to find

fangs, feline fangs.

She back away quickly “where am I?” She breathed “This is a dream! Riley wake

up!” she screamed at herself hitting herself roughly in the head. She winced in pain and

got up and turned around as she herd something dragging along the floor. Her eyes grew

wide she a long sleek tail trailed from behind. Tear ran down her face yet again “I am a

freak” She whispered.

“Not necessarily” A voice came from behind her she fell to the floor and craned

her neck around to see a tall guy with long dyed white hair that reached hiseye brows. He

smiled weakly from his white hair were floppy white dog ears and like her he had a tail
