A loud boom filled the air. The world was lurched sudden chaos, children and adults alike shrieked in horror. Yellow oxygen masks plummeted from the plane ceiling compartments and everyone rushed to put theirs on. "Everyone rema- bzzkt- calm, secure-bzzkkt- gen masks and prep-bzzzzzzzkt- rough landing in kindle terrai-bzzkt-. The plane is going dow-bzzt- I repeat, the plane is goi-bzzt-g down." Seeped from a horribly malfunctioning speakers around the plane. That was it. The plane was going down.... Crashing... A woman who couldn't be any older than 25 with long wavy brunette hair, pulled back into a messy ponytail high on her head was rapidly securing a mask on a young boy sitting next to her, her son. She had a backpack and her feet and after securing the mask on her son she pulled it over her head. "Arin... We'll be ok.... I promise we'll be ok... We'll make it home to see papa...I promise...mommy loves you..."She sobbed to her crying son. The moment of impact came, her seatbelt snapped loudly and she flew helplessly into the seats across from her, smacking her head hard on an armrest. She closed her eyes waiting for the rumbling of the plane nose digging into the dirt at an angle to quit. She opened her eyes and saw Arin laced across the two sweats limply, his neck snapped at an awkward angle. "ARIN!" The woman screamed and trembled to her feet, running quickly over to the boy. "Arin! Wake up! I promised we'd be ok! I promised!" She wailed and held the small pale body in her arms. "Please get up... We've gotta survive... Get back and see papa..." She sobbed quietly. "Mommy loves you... She always will.... Always...." She whispered and stroked his redish hair. She pulled out her phone, she had a text, from Corey, her fiancé . "Have fun, Gracie! I can't wait to see you in a week! Tell Arin I love him too! " She read aloud and immediately sobbed harder again. She'd probably never see him again. She slowly got up and walked to the plane doors, bodies laced the floor, some had fled the plane already. She stepped into the humid air. This was it. This was her life now. Her son was dead and she'd probably never see Corey again. Life was terrible. She's say down on the plane's almost submerged nose and pulled out a picture of her,Corey, and Arin from her backpack. She had to survive, for them, for herself. She got up and started walking away from the wreck. Survival instinct kicked in, no time for messing around. This was her life.
