Gracie soon awoke to Khan's low roar as the sun was hardly peaking over the horizon. Gracie rubbed her eyes and slowly sat up, every muscle in her body ached and she just wanted to sleep. Khan roared again, a little bit louder this time and Gracie forced herself to roll up the green plant door and hop out. She yawned and slowly rolled up her feline companions door too. Khan immediately stretched out and lumbered out if his space. "Go hunt." She ordered Khan and he bounded away; Gracie had her own things to work on. She sprinted over to a large boulder and grabbed her dagger. Gracie chopped a large flexible stick off a nearby tree and slowly fashioned it into a bow curve. She grabbed some strong tendrils and reeds, fashioning them into the string of a bow and tied it at both ends tightly to the ends of the now curve. Gracie grabbed a nearby long blade of tiger grass and cut the sharp ends off, wrapping it at the highest curve of the bow wood as a grip. Next she moved on to the arrows. Gracie carved a shaft out of a thin but strong wood and fletched it with four feathers. She found a sturdy section of rock and carved it into an arrow head. After making about ten arrows she put her supplies away and started gathering thatch and bamboo stalks. Gracie climbed up her ladder and started to build onto her room. She planned to make a room for reading and hanging out. In the middle of building a bridge to a nearby tree ; a wave of melancholy hit her like a truck and she slumped to the ground, overwhelmed. Soon the reasons for her gloomy state emptied out as she remembered her dead son,Arin, and his sweet smile. Remembering her fiance, Corey, along with it. Khan had since returned and was snuffing in greetings. "Go away Khan..." she muttered and Khan growled in reply before stalking to his space to eat. Gracie rattled off her grief and continued to build her bridge shakily. Dusk was soon falling and ominous roars engulfed the settling night. Soon the underbrush was rustling and Gracie quickly rushed up the ladder and closed Khan's area off. She didn't want to be involved in any wanton violence;especially not this night. Before she knew it, Khan was roaring at Gracie to get her caboose up and she reluctantly stumbled from her bed to eat with Khan. Khan had already caught what she supposed was an antelope,it was way too mangled to tell. Gracie struck up a fire while Khan gladly ate the creature raw like the beast he was. After eating, Khan went off to do whatever he could possible dream of. Later on after Gracie had gathered more materials, Khan had returned with more food and be roared at her. Gracie leapt back in fear before realizing it was Khan who'd rudely greeted her. "A snuff would have done Khanny boy!" She laughed. Khan let out what Gracie assumed was a laugh; that is if he found humor in that. Maybe it was just his normal sarcastically put noises. Khan faced his area of the home and roared again. "What is it Khan?" Gracie asked again but Khan just gave her an angry look and decided to go up and nudge his door. "Oh. You want in?" Gracie asked him and he gave her a look that said "Yes you human idiot." Before sitting down. Gracie ran over and rolled up Khan's door. Before she knew it,Khan sprinted in and cringe worthy cracking and scraping noises were filling the camp as he gnawed on animal bones. Gracie continued on building her tree bridge all day before night decided to fall upon them and she climbed to bed and read her books until she fell asleep.
