bakugos pov

"as promised, colouring pens and pages are here"
looking up i see the nurse from before, kirishima.
"i'm taking you ordered jam on toast right?" he asked, following his line of direction it lands on the uneaten toast in front of me. "uh yeah" i reply, going on my phone.

"you not gonna eat it?" he says placing the colouring pages on the side. "course i will" slowly bringing the slice of toast to my mouth. i pause, "are you just gonna stare?" hearing him laugh and say "haha my bad, i gotta right it down on your meal plan though"

kirishimas pov

"fine" i sigh in relief seeing him start eating it. "tell me, what did ya order for lunch?" i ask him, trying to make him more comfortable. "um, mac n cheese i think" that doesn't sound half bad. "and for dinner?"
seeing him begin on his second slice of toast i smile, congratulating him in my mind. "some steak thing. i forgot" "haha that's alright bud, we'll see later"

as he finishes his last piece of toast i slowly put his plates and the empty drink cartoon into one pile. then i grab his colouring pens and pages to put on the attachment table. standing up straight i look behind him on the wall and see the tv pulled back "would you like to watch tv whilst you colour?" seeing him decide, he replies "nah it's fine, i have my phone"

seeing camie walk back into the room, i walk to the rooms sink and wash my hands, then replace my gloves. "alright, bye bud i'll see you later, push the button to call me okay?" giving him one of my toothy smiles.

"okay whatever"

it had been a few hours since then, coming up to lunch time, kirishima and camie had already done his vitals for the second time that day.

seeing the nurse button go of for bakugo, i quickly satanise my hands and replace my old gloves for new ones.

"everything alright?" i asked seeing 2 nurses already in the room.

"he's refusing his meal" i see camie look to me.

i frown at hearing that, i thought he was doing good from breakfast. "bud, you alright? what's going on?"

i see him look at me then roll over so he's facing the other way. i look to the two other nurses "bakugo, you'll have to have a feeding tube and i know how much you hate those" i hear camie say.

"yeah man, those are nasty." i add on.

looking at bakugo i see he's just gonna carry on ignoring us. "you've been doing so well in recovery, i know you don't wanna stay here any longer than you have to" i nod, agreeing to what camies saying. "she's right, i know it's hard right now but it's gonna get better" i respond.

seeing him slowly look between me and the other two nurses, he sits up. i see him slowly grab the fork to his mac n cheese. "can you guys go? i don't want everybody staring at me"

"i can do that, but kirishima has to stay okay?" seeing him nod, the two other nurses exit the room.

"you doing okay?" i ask him whilst slowly moving the pens from his lunch plate and onto the side table.

"fine" i see him slowly lift the fork to his mouth and start chewing on it. i can see him trying to go against eating it but as he looks up to me i do my classical smile which gets him to carry on eating.

"am i gonna have to have a feeding tube again now?"
i hear him ask me.

"i'm not sure dude, you may have to. remember it's just to help you alright?" i reassure him. i can see the sad look on his face.

"i'm gonna bring you one of the snacks that you have to eat soon okay? try eat it" i see his face getting annoyed from hearing what i had just said.

around 10 minutes after i hear him say "i'm finished" looking at his plate i see that half of is gone. marking it down in my head to put on his meal plan he only ate half.

after staying with bakugo for a little while longer i walked to camie "is he gonna get a feeding tube?"

"we're deciding against it, seeing as though this is the first time in a while he's refused to eat lunch. his recovery is going really well" i see camie respond whilst folding patients hospital blankets.

"when do you think he can leave this place?" i ask her out of genuine curiosity. "supposedly soon i heard" is that such a good idea? "is it to soon?" i ask her

"we don't know, he's been in here for a while and he's made great progress. we're thinking he can do home treatment." that doesn't seem half bad actually.

"he will have to stay with a family member though, as they have to report to see if he's sticking to his meal plan" nodding my head "i think getting out and staying with family members is gonna be good for him" i add whilst helping her fold some of the thin blankets.

"yeah i agree, he's been in and out of this place a lot, just this time he's stayed for longer. he'll still have to come in for checks up and all that though" she said.

"of course. well, i better get these snacks for him" i say whilst waving and walking off.
