It had been the morning after Jungkook and Ara's meet-up.

Ara had gotten a call notification on her cellphone, It was her mother.

She hesitated picking up the phone because of the questionable past she had with her parents.

After a few seconds, she decided to answer it, she thought maybe she had changed.

"Hello." Ara said into the phone.

"Hi Ara, how are you?", her mother had said with a phoney tone.

"Cut the crap, what do you want, because you certainly have a problem with calling your daughter unless you can benefit off of me."

"You're smart." Ara could just sense her mother's famous grin through the phone as she spoke.

"Calm down Ara, you're starting to get emotional, I didn't raise you to be weak." Ara could not control her anger level as her mom was talking.

"Except you didn't raise me at all, but I'll let you believe what you'd like."

"How's you're stripper job?", Ara knew certainly that her mother had hated her choice of careers and never wanted her to be truly happy with her passions.

Flashback:

As Ara was packing her bags to leave her house, her father had opened the door.

"What do you think you're doing?", her father said while walking towards her.

"I'm leaving, I need space right now, you both can't stop me."

"You are not even eighteen yet, and even then, your mother and I will never let you leave this house willingly."

Ara ignored her father and walked out, only to be pulled back by him roughly.

"I said no.", Ara's father

"Since when did I get to ever make decisions by myself? You both ridicule me when I do something wrong and even ridicule me when I do something right, I will never be enough for you both as long as I'm still under the same roof as you."

"Stop talking nonsense, you're still a little girl who always complains but won't do anything around the house or even respect your parents."

"But I do.", Ara cried out.

"I do, I'm right here, I'm here to always to cater to you both when I get nothing in return. I can't live, I can't breathe, I need space from you both."

"I can't keep hiding from the world and doing things only to benefit you, I've done that my whole life. I need to do something for myself for once.

"I'm so sorry that may have had terrible childhood because of your parents but that is no excuse to treat your kid the same way, especially since you know how it feels, why would you want to inflict that pain on me as well?" Ara said as her dad had no idea what to say back to her.

Ara's mom had walked into the room because of the sudden chattering.

"What's going on?", Ara's mother said.

"I'm not fucking happy, don't you at least care about my happiness?", Ara said to her mother and father as tears fell down ceaselessly onto her face.

"Thats not a way to talk to your parents, Ara."

"I fed you, took care of you, and you still have the nerve to be an ungrateful brat about it? Ara's mom said with anger.

Ara did not want to sound like a broken record, she had repeatedly told them how she felt, yet they constantly dismissed her feelings.

"You didn't answer the question."

"Do you not care about my happiness?", Ara said once again, desperately needing to hear their answer.

"Frankly, if you were more grateful, I'd care more for your future and what makes you happy.", Ara only needed to hear that before she had excited her room, leaving her parents dumbfounded.

"Ara, we are deeply disappointed in you, come back here right now."

"I'm so sorry you feel that way," Ara said sarcastically before continuing to walk out of her room, her parents following behind her.

"You leave this house, we will not support your future decisions or give you money for anything.", Ara's mother said.

"I said I needed space, but you're so butthurt about my temporary leave that you won't even give your daughter money when she needs it?", Ara said.

"Find your own way of making money. If I change my mind I will let you know.", Ara's mom said rudely.

"You know what, I'll be a stripper, how will you both feel now?", Ara said, knowing her parents hate the thought of strippers, let alone their daughter being one.

"What, so you're a slut now?" Ara's mother said.

"Wow, I'm not even going to waste my breath trying to educate you both, because you're so ignorant to the point that you don't know the difference between a slut and a stripper."

"Well, like you said, you don't care about my future, so let me live it how I want."

"Just be happy for me for once and accept that these are my choices in life."

Ara's parents had nodded their heads in disagreement, making Ara feel emotional again.

"Damn", Ara said as she wiped the tears that were slowly falling from her eyes.

"You were supposed to be my parents.", Ara ended off saying as she finally made her way out of the house, slamming the door shut, and running to the nearest bus stop.

Present:

Ara had continued the conversation with her mother.

"I'm not going to argue with you, what do you need?", Ara asked, wanting to hang up as soon as possible.

"I need a favour, as per usual."

"Your father and I have rivals, we are trying to take ownership of a company. We need to convince everyone that we are more eligible than the other competitors."

"We need to have a good image, which means having a happy and stable family."

"With you in the picture, we could have a better chance at getting the company since a strong happy family makes a strong competitor, that is if you behave as expected, of course."

"And why would I waste my time trying to help you?", Ara asked.

"Because, we have much to offer you if you accept. So, will you accept it?", Ara's mother asked.

"Fine," Ara responded.

Ara hated her parents, although, this whole idea sparked an interest in her. Attending parties, pretending to be formal, and most of all, being rich.
