Liz P.O.V

"Ahhhhhhh," I scream. There's blood everywhere. No no no, it hurts so much to turn. My vision blurred; oh god. I'm blacking out. "HELP" I try to scream. My voice breaking. "Please please help," I whisper trying not to faint.
"Please" It went black.

4 hours later
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My eyes flutter open. There's my sister Evie. She was asleep so I was trying to be quiet. If she's here it's been at least a day. When I try to speak I found a ventilator over my mouth. What happened? I tried to lift my body up. A wave of burning pain shot through my side and my eyes widened. A teardrop fell from my left eye. I breathe heavily. The pain had knocked the air out of me. Evie bolts upright; she starts freaking out.
"OMG OMG are you okay!"
Her eyes started to fill with tears.
"I'm so so sorry," she said in a small voice.
I didn't remember what had happened. Everything was a little fuzzy to see. I tried to take off my ventilator with my left hand but it was in a light pink cast. So I take it off with my right hand. I tried to sit up again but Evie noticed and helped me. I take in the room; a beautiful blue room. Quite large. Then what happened hit me.
"Oh my god." Someone tried to kill me. I started crying, bawling my eyes out. I didn't know them. A total stranger was trying to kill me. Why? I don't know. But it scared me. So much.

Let me start from the beginning. My name is Elizabeth Belle McGuire. I have a twin sister and her name is Evie. On July 23rd 2020, we turned 19 years old. My parents have told us the story of our birth so many times it's literally like I was there, which I was. You see I'm the younger one, but only by three and a half minutes. The doctors said there was a high chance that I was going to die that day. The umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck but fortunately only once. That's the only reason they could save me. Had it been twice the only way they could safely deliver Evie was to let me die. So she came out first, then the doctors untangled me and I popped out. We've been close since forever. In fact, my dad said when he would try to move one of us, and we'd both start screaming and crying. We even shared a room until we were thirteen. Then I moved to the room right next door that had always been meant to be mine. Not that I wanted it for a long time. We're still best friends; I don't think anything can change that. But we aren't identical. It would be horrible having the same face. I mean it must be fine for some people. But the thing is Evie and I are two totally different people even if we are extremely close. Oh lord, did I forget to mention that I WAS SUPPOSED TO GO TO A WEDDING THIS MONTH! To be clear this isn't just ANY person's wedding I mean my older sister's wedding! Oh man oh man! This is bad. If you were wondering, Evie is not getting married. No way! She's only turned 19 this year, and well so did I. Our older sister Claudia is getting married to Johnny. I mean Jonathan. Evie and I call him Johnny because it bugs him. She, on the other hand, is 26 years old. A much better age to get married in my opinion. Here's where we are now. I got to our hometown in Pennsylvania about an hour ago. It's summer vacation and I was coming home from Princeton to see my family after a long time. It was 2:30am and I was just trying to get to a hotel or home but I only found a bar. I was underaged, obviously. I just wanted to get some water and sit down. I started talking to this guy. He seemed sweet. He was my age or well a little older. He was 20. He said his name was Charlie. I was too tired to argue or use common sense when he offered me a ride back home but it was fine. He drove me to a hotel nearby but when I got out of the car I felt a sharp pain on the back of my head. I then felt a stab into my side.
"Hey!" I think it was Charlie, but I was fainting.
There's blood everywhere. It hurts so much to turn. My vision blurred. Oh god. I blacked out. "Help!" I try to scream. My voice breaking.
"Please please help" I whisper trying not to faint.
"Liz," someone called out.
"LIZ," the voice said again.
"Listen to me, Liz. Please."

My vision went black.
