Chapter 5

April 14th, 3240. . .

Ranboo went to talk to Zephyr about an hour ago. I sit on the couch with an interesting book about Enders in my hands. I read as I wait for him to come back. A small commotion comes from outside and I jump at the sound. I quietly open the front door and step out onto the porch. I gaze into the forest surrounding the cottage. "Hello?" I ask not really expecting an answer. "Hewwo..?" a small voice comes from off to the side of the cottage. I look over and see a small creature peering at me from the corner of the cottage. "C'mere... I'm not gonna hurt you..." I crouch down and gesture for the small thing to come to me. "The small creature appears to be a child and cautiously walks over to me.

Next thing you know I have a small zombie piglin sleeping in my arms. I take it upon myself to protect this child with my life. You could say that I adopted him and I would have to agree. He appeared to have no family so I had to. I named him Michael and carry him inside the cottage. I sit on the couch with him cradled in my arms. I yawn as Michael snores softly. My eye lids get heavy and I drift off to sleep. 

I wake up to the sound of a vwoop coming from outside. Michael is still fast asleep in my arms and I smile at how peaceful he's sleeping. I stay sitting as to not stir the small child from his sleep. The door opens and Ranboo walks inside. "Sorry I took so lo-" I cut him off. "ssshhh... Sleeping child..." I whisper. Ranboo tilts his head curiously as he peers at Michael. His pupils grow big like a cat's as he quietly walks over to Michael and I. "He's so cute..." He whispers. Michael snuggles closer to me as he continues to sleep.

"His name is Michael... I adopted him..." I tell Ranboo quietly. "He's the most adorable thing ever..." Ranboo replies. "I should probably get him some things... I'll be back..." He says and teleports away with a soft vwoop. I feel a soft feeling that hasn't been found in 6 years. Love.
