'Experiencing loss is a part of life. Some people lose their first love.'
Master Fu sat on a wooden bench, looking longingly into a photo of a younger woman. She stared back out at him, the monochrome of her features frozen in the image.
A sad visage settled on the old man's face, though a small smile turned up the edge of his lips. He stroked a finger down the cheek of the image, wistful.
'Some people lose the harmony in their relationship.'
Workers were busy as they prepared the venue. They bustled about frantically on the rooftop, rushing to make everything perfect and presentable.
A man, the mayor, and his wife were stood by the pool, supervising the proceedings.
"The decorations are spot on, aren't they, Audrey, dear." The mayor asked his wife, clasping his hands together as he leant towards her, an unsure but hopeful glint in his eyes.
"They're ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous! They're fired!" She complained, her snobby voice grating on the ears of everyone around her. She looked at her husband with her lip curled.
Across the rooftop, a strobe of light went into the sky, much like a Batman signal.
It flashed and grew brighter.
'Some people lose hope.'
Chloe, the couple's spoiled daughter, sighed sadly as she messed with the light.
She looked around the surrounding rooftops and sighed when nothing happened, her head leaning forlornly against the the metal of the projector.
'Others lose patience.'
The two heroes of Paris sat on a low rooftop wall, looking out towards the grand view of the Eiffel Towel.
Ladybug looked across at her partner searchingly, her stare going unnoticed as the cat continued to look down towards the civilians which milled about on the streets below.
She wondered when things had changed between them.
Chat had slowly began to call her Ladybug, less of the 'My Lady's' and 'Bugaboo's' and she startlingly realised that she missed it.
