BACK AT ONE

*alarm beeping*

With a frown and creased forehead, the sleeping man sprawled on his bed get up groaning in dislike as he turn off the alarm. He sat on his bed while trying to fight his heavy eyelids which keep on closing. His mind is wandering off to his dreamland when a sudden thought made him open his eyes widely and completely awaken him from his beauty sleep.

"Shit! It's April 1!" The man immediately came rushing towards the bathroom only to come out and find his towel before completely showering. He dress himself and styled his hair before getting downstairs to eat his breakfast. Once he reached the kitchen, he saw his mother cooking his favorite breakfast. The young man smiled, showing off his fascinating deep dimples.

"Good morning mom!" He greeted with happiness as he pulled a chair and started eating.

"Good morning Kit sweetie. How are you feeling today?" His mother asked, smiling. Kit smiled back with an excited mood.

"I'm so fine mother. I'll go out with Ming today. It's his birthday." Kit's mom suddenly frowned upon hearing what his son had said.

"Uhmm, sweetie..." She was about to say something when Kit stood up and kissed her cheeks.

"I'm finished mom. Bye!"

Kit arrived at him and his Ming's meeting place; at the park. He sat down on the concrete chair under a palm tree, waiting as he played with his phone. When five minutes have passed and no sign of the guy had arrived, he immediately send a chat to the guy.

Ming, where are you now? I'm already at the park. - sent 9:35 am

Kit waited patiently while entertaining himself with browsing his Instagram. Hour's passed but no sign of him showed up. Not even a shadow. Not even a seen on his line chat.

'Maybe he's still busy.'

Kit stood up and bought himself a burger from a nearby food stall and a water before going back to the certain spot he sat down to. He send another chat at Ming.

Mingkwan! Where are you now? Are you busy? - sent 12:45 pm

I swear if you're not gonna show up, I'm not going to give you my birthday gift! - sent 12:45 pm

He put his phone inside his pocket with an annoyed face as he eat his burger. Another hour has passed, maybe even two or three but no trace of Ming had showed up. He's now mad and fuming.

'How dare he not show up!'

A tear fell down Kit's cheek as he try not to be upset at Ming. He is now very hungry as his stomach keep grumbling. He ate only a little for breakfast and a burger for lunch because he is waiting for Ming. He invited him yesterday for a one whole day date today since it is Ming's birthday and give him his gift.

Kit bit his lip as he started to feel dizziness. It was only slight at first but it started to hurt until his head felt like exploding from the headache. His surrounding started spinning as he hold on tight at his phone. He dialed a number before he was consumed by darkness.

As soon as Kit opened his eyes, he was welcomed by a white ceiling and a beeping monitor. He look around the room and saw her mother sleeping soundly beside her, sitting on a chair while resting her face on the bed where he is lying. Kit slowly sat while trying to adjust to his surroundings. He is trying to remember why he is here on the hospital, lying on the hospital bed.

On the other hand, Kit's mother felt the sudden movement of the bed that woke her up. As soon as she saw her son sitting on the bed, she immediately pushed the button to call the doctor. She cried as she held her son's face.
