Warning: If you want to get to the town where the story starts, just skip the prologue if you don't want to read it. The prologue here is to set the stage for them moving and their feelings toward the moving. It's also to reinforce their personalities and aftereffects of SAO so that when the story actually starts next episode, the reader can understand some things that I explained here. Thank you and I'll try to make the prologue as optional as possible but it would be best to also read it if you have the time!
I originally was going to have Takashi as the main character because, he's the main character. Then I got a headache imagining how the story would go, and it would go in the same general direction which was kind of frustrating and the author never lived long enough to finish the story so I didn't want to in a sense put words in his mouth. Then I thought of what other character to insert and I didn't want to make a new character because I'll probably self-insert and then it would be purely based off of what I was feeling which is not good for story. Lastly, I just decided to use my favorite male character which is Kazuto Kirigaya.
From there, everything just fell into place, with him moving back with just Asuna. He moves after only the SAO incident so GGO never happened. This leaves Kirito still in somewhat trauma with his girlfriend by his side and also is why he's immediately able to adapt to this apocalypse and fight with swords. I have no idea how to explain this right now, everything is just fitting into place for me right now so just stick with the story and you'll see this whole new world which is just so awesome thinking about it. Thankyou, "Deku's Harem Academia" upload will not be hindered so just get out your snacks, get a drink, get yourself loose, and enjoy my brainchild!

Ugh. What time is it?
Kazuto woke up in cold sweat and quickly looked over at his alarm clock in the dark room. It was still 5 in the morning and the sun hadn't even risen yet. He slowly turned his gaze back down onto the bed and a small smile returned to his face. Asuna, the love of his life was laying down and still fast asleep. He gently stuck his finger out to her face and brushed her hair so that it would stay behind her ears.
I love you so much Asuna. You and Yui mean the world to me, I can't imagine my life without either of you in it.
The black haired boy smiled to himself as he laid back down onto the bed. He was so happy that Asuna agreed to move with him. He was going to move back to his hometown of Tokonosu city when he decided that he wanted to pursue a future in VR technology. He wanted to move away, to start fresh without completely starting over, and that's how they decided on his hometown.
They were going to go by themselves with just Yui. As much as it hurt leaving his cousin behind along with the few friends that he had made, he promised to stay in touch. He still couldn't believe that his plan worked. He told Asuna to show her mom first hand that the virtual world was a place worth being in and that she knew what she wanted in life. After some tears and tender moments, Asuna's mom allowed her daughter to go spend her life with him.
He still remember the words that she said. She told him that all the suitors that she had ever set up for Asuna never made her happy. The only times that she was able to see the sweet and genuine smile of her daughter was when she was talking about him. Like any mother, she would go to the ends of the world to break Kazuto if he broke her heart, but she knew that he would never be able to do that to the girl he loved so much.
(Asuna) " . . uu . . hey Kirito-kun."
Asuna woke up with a smile on her face. Kazuto, realizing that his girlfriend was now awake, looked back at the clock and saw that the time was 6:50 already.
