Dark Alley

Chapter 2

They arrived in their house safely, Eli washed her hands before she prepare the tools she needs for cooking the meat they bought in the store, Nozomi washed her hands too and sit on the sofa waiting patiently for Eli to finish. Since they're gonna grilled a meat they need to do it outside, Eli starts grilling the meat, the purple-haired girl smelled the meat her stomach grumble again "I haven't eaten anything for 2 days, so I can't blame my stomach for grumbling too much" she thought to herself.

15 minutes passed, Eli went back inside along with the grilled meat, the purple-haired girl eyes shines "That smells good!" Nozomi said while looking at the meat, Eli chuckled "Of course". They starts eating the meat, the purple-haired girl notice the blonde's arm she remembers biting it, she frown "Is there something wrong Nozomi?" Eli asked, Nozomi puts her fork down "I just want to apologise for biting you" the purple-haired girl sounds so apologetic, the blonde only smile "No need to apologise, you're just scared that time" Nozomi looks at her "For now finish your food, I still need to tell you a lot of stuff about our association when you're done" the purple-haired girl smiles "Okay, Elichi!" Nozomi didn't realize that the blonde is looking at her, the blonde blush for getting a cute nickname, she shakes her head and continue eating her meat.

After they've done eating Nozomi washed the dirty plates, Eli is sitting in the sofa reading her book. The purple-haired girl dried her hands after she's done washing the plates, "I'm done" the blonde smiles and told Nozomi to sit beside her, Nozomi obey and she sits besides her.

"Okay I'm gonna tell you the purpose of our association and our goal, the purpose of our association is to defend people with special traits like you" the blonde points Nozomi "Me? You mean people with animal traits?" The blonde nods "Yes and our goal is to stop them from killing people like you" Nozomi is shock, she didn't know people like Eli exist, people protecting someone like her is only a dream. "So my job is to protect them?" The blonde nods again "Correct, and you're not gonna fight them alone, you have a partner and that's me" the blonde said. Something vibrates in Eli's pocket, she reach for her pocket and pulled out her phone, looks like someone message her, the blonde smiles and turned to Nozomi "Mhms, our boss wants to see you" the blonde stands "Gotta sleep early today" she stretch her body "W-wait your bo-" "Our" Eli interrupt her "Our boss wants to see me?" Eli nods "How did-" "I told her while I'm cooking" Eli once again interrupts her, the purple-hair groans "Stop interrupting me" her ears flattened and her tail is kinda spikey, Eli just smiles "C'mon you need to sleep" Nozomi just groan again and lay on the sofa " What are you doing?" The blonde asked her "Sleeping?" The blonde approach the purple-haired girl hands on her hips, "What is it?" The blonde only stared at her "What?" "..." sweat is visible in her face, Nozomi sighed "I get it I get it" the blonde smiles, Nozomi gets up and walk towards the bedroom.

"No!" a girl ran, tears forming in her eyes, she keeps on running until she's out of breath but she didn't stop "Don't take them away!" she saw three girls being taken away "Noooo!"

The purple-haired girl gasp, tears falling in her eyes, nail dug deeply in the bed and her sweat drops. She saw the blonde looking at her worriedly, "Nozomi! Calm down it's only a nightmare" Nozomi suddenly hugs the blonde, tears keeps flowing the blonde pats her head "Shhhh, it's okay no one will hurt you here" the blonde tried to calm her down and she think it works, the purple-haired girl is not crying anymore only her hiccups can be heard in the room. They stayed there for a few minutes before removing the hug "Do you feel better now?" Nozomi sniffles "Yes, thank you" the blonde smiles and gets up "C'mon we still need to meet someone" Nozomi wipes off the tears in her eyes  "Yeah" she also gets up and prepare herself

They took a bath and clothes themselves. Eli wears a dark demin shorts, white crop top, a dark jacket and white rubber shoes. "She looks like a model" Nozomi thought, the purple-haired girl is amazed when she saw the blonde. Nozomi wears a dark leggings, she also wears a white crop top paired with black jacket and white rubber shoes. "You looks good" Nozomi blush a lil bit "Thank you, you looks good too" the blonde smile "Let's go" the blonde signal Nozomi to go outside.

"Someone will fetch us any minute so let's wait" the purple-haired girl nods while waiting, the blonde looks at her watch. A car stopped in front of them, the blonde open the door for Nozomi, the purple-haired girl thank her. They're both in the car now, "Good morning you two" the driver with a long blue hair with bunny ears greets them, "Good morning Umi" the blonde greets back, Nozomi is surprised but she needs to greet the girl too "G-good morning" the purple-hair said nervously, the brunette smiles at her "Good morning" Nozomi smiles back.

"So where's everyone?" Eli asked Umi, "Maki, Nico,Hanamaru, Dia, Rin, and Hanayo they're still on their mission" the blonde hums "How about Leah and Ruby?" "They're still practicing their combat skills with Kanan" Nozomi's ears twitch "Kanan?" She said the girl's name unconsciously "Do you know Kanan?" The blonde looks at her "Her name is familiar" Nozomi tries to remember the girl "Sorry to interrupt you but we arrived" the brunette said.

The three of them went inside, the front of the building looks normal "Our boss is in her office, she's waiting for both of you" the brunette bow before leaving. They keep walking until they reach a big brown door, the blonde knock three times "Come in" Eli opens the door the purple-hair went inside "Welcome!" A gray-haired girl with golden eyes greeted them "She's so young" the purple-haired girl thought "Kotori! What are you doing here? Where's the boss?" the blonde approach the girl sitting comfortably "She said she need something" Kotori smiles, she stand and walk towards Nozomi "You must be Eli's partner" Nozomi steps back because the girl is too close, the door opened "Kotori! I'm looking for you!" The brunette looks at Kotori "Pardon my intrusion but I need Kotori" Umi grabs the gray-haired girl's arm and leaves the room. "What just happened" Eli's eyes twitch in irritation.

The door opened again this time a woman who looks like Kotori or older version of Kotori went inside, "Welcome did I make you two wait?" They shake their heads "No, we just arrived" the blonde answers "Ohhh, that's good then" the woman looks at the purple-haired girl, "I'm assuming Eli already explained everything" Nozomi nods "Yes she did" the woman's face change into a serious one "I heard from Eli that you killed one of the hunters" The purple-haired girl looks away "No need to feel guilty or pity the person you killed, he deserves it" the woman's aura change into an intimidating one, Nozomi's ears flattened "Since you're joining, I'm suggesting you to enhance your fighting skills" the boss stands up and  told them to follow her.

Eli knows where they're going while Nozomi being clueless, the gray-haired woman stops and opens a big door "Eli I want to talk to you" the gray-haired woman turned around to face Nozomi "Feel free to wander around, and just call me Miami" she waved her hand and starts talking to Eli, they slowly faded in Nozomi's sight. "What should I do now" Nozomi looks around, there's no much people around so she thought it's okay to walk around.

Nozomi found a boxing ring, and big equipments used for training your body, the purple-haired girl is dumbfounded. Nozomi heard two girls talking to each other, she peeks on the wall and saw two young girls, one with red hair tied up in twin-tails and a purple-haired girl tied up in twin-tails but with cat ears. The red-haired girl pouts making the purple-haired girl blush, the purple-haired girl looks around to see if there's any body around the other girl looks at her with confusion, the purple-haired girl suddenly kiss the red-haired girl in the lips. "I feel like I had seen what I should not have seen" Nozomi mumbles to herself.

"You saw them didn't you" someone holds her shoulder, Nozomi froze in her spot "I-i didn't mean to look at them" the girl chuckled, Nozomi turn around and saw a tall woman with blue hair tied up in a ponytail, the purple-haired girl assume it's Umi but the girl is taller than Umi and she have a purple eyes, she looks so familiar, the purple-eyed girl look at her with shock "Wait, you-" the girl can't contain her excitement, she hugs the purple-haired girl startling her "Nozomi! You're here!" The brunette looks at her again and hugs her again "Kanan" Nozomi's voice cracks, tears starts flowing in their faces, it last for a minute before they broke their hug "You and Yoshiko will be happy if they find out you're here" Kanan tails wags rapidly, Nozomi smiles "I finally found all of you".
