Waiting for her. It was day and I was getting tired. I'll wait as long as possible just for her. It's been more than 4 hours. She said she would be back in a couple of hours but it's been 20 years and she's still not back. I saw her. I saw her get killed right in front of me. I know she's gone but it's like I'm trapped in a world where she's ok and she's just out shopping. It's like I'm zoning out but it's forever. I don't know what's wrong with me. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I know she's not with me. It's like I'm in denial, but I saw it with my own eyes. A hit and run. I wanted to stop it, but I'm still here, in the same spot. The only time I left was when I brought her dead body in. Still her decaying body sits right beside me. Dry Blood all over me, and her. Still I talk to her as if she'll answer. Still every day I hear the same pounding on my door. It sounds like the same pounding that's been playing in my head for the past 20 years. But still. I'm here waiting.
