Since Alex was full of grief and misery from Natalie dying, he began to not sleep at night and not eat. Doctors told him multiple times that it was very risky and dangerous but, of course, he didn't care. Eventually, a few years later he got over it. People knew him as the old man who lived on the edge of the city. When he finally got over his wife's death he was already 64. Around that time there was a young boy named Alan who was always cheerful, people knew him as the helping boy, who helped anyone. Alex didn't know this but he was dead. He wasn't in Hell and he also wasn't in heaven. He was where dead people stay until they have fulfilled what they were supposed to fulfill. In Alex's case, he needed to travel the world. Alan was Alex's Guardian Angel who was gonna help him travel the world. But, of course, nobody in this world knew that but Alan.
