chapter 2 the announcement

" this place is huge" Lillian said a Joel opened h front door for her. a huge crystal chandelier hung above the main hall. there was a grand staircase that breached into two at the top. and then two hall ways, one to her left and right.

" mistress raven this way" Joel said and swayed his arm towards the stairs.

" please call me lil, that's what everyone called me at home, and this is now my home right, might as well make if familiar" Lillian said with a smile.

" mistress lil, right this way" he said and started off towards the stairs.

" well work on the mistress later" Lillian said with a giggle. Joel took her up the stairs and the n to th right, they went down a long hallway filled with doors and paintings. there are two rooms right next to each other at the end of the hallway.

" yours is to the right mistress lil, everything you'll need will be in there. master Damian will come see you when he gets home" Joel said. he bowed then left.

" I wonder where he went"

" WHAT DO YOU MEAN A HUMAN BRIDE" the kind of ravensblood yelled at his son.

" father calm down, she IS a princess and a pretty one at that" Damian said trying to calm his dad. as son as he heard princess his anger flew away.

" who did you nab son" the king said with a big smile

" princess Lillian of the kingdom of nightwing" Damian said and bowed. the king clapped with excitement and then turned to Damian older brother. he had a scowl on his face. Grimm was older by a year and would have inherited the kingdom if his ex-wife hadn't stole the queens crown and ran off.

"when do we get to meet her my boy" the king said with a laugh.

" 1 week father" Damian said

"a whole week" the king asked anger creeping up

" she is not used to life here, I want her to be settled before we wed" Damian said calmly and left his dad happy. he decided to walk home since his mansion was right down the road. as he walked he admired the birds singing. he had loved music since he was little, the the was light and fast.

" I wonder if Lillian likes music" Damian wondered as he past the creek. he could already see his mansion, and his soon to be wife was walking out the back door towards the garden out back. there were tons of flowers and trees. plus the vegetable garden.

" she does love flowers" Damian said and changed his path to the garden. the whole place was surrounded by a black rose Bush that was shoulder big. only one way in and it was a iron arches way with a waist high wooden door. as he approached he could hear music...not music but singing. a sweet calm melody. as Damian peeked over the door and saw Lillian smelling roses and humming, she did a little twirl. she had a smile the whole time.

" who's spying now" Lillian's voice came into his mind. he hadn't even noticed he was starring.

" you like the garden" Damian said changing the subject

" it's beautiful" Lillian said walking into the garden more. Damian opened the door and followed her in, and saw she had c gohanged. she was wearing black pants that fit her body well and a tan tank-top under a grey over sweater.

" someone got comfy" Damian said sticking his hands in his pockets. Lillian turned around and sat on a bench, then she looked Damian up and down.

" you changed to" she said noticing his black jeans and dark purple dress shirt. he laughed a little and came to sit by her.

" this place is very pretty" Lillian said looking around the garden.
