I smile and wave at my neighbors as I stroll down my neighborhood. I had lived here for almost 2 years now after moving from America.

Of course the culture shock was real, never really understanding the customs or how to be respectful to the cultures, but I learned really fast after a few months of living here. The people were nice, and of course the food was absolutely amazing!

CRASH

"What the hell?" I said to myself as I ran towards the direction of the crash. I gasped and my eyes widened as I saw this huge monster being thrown across the street.

"I got it!" none other than a hero named Mount Lady said as she ran over and grabbed the monster by their arm. I had always admired heroes from the very first time I watched the greatest hero, All Might, on my tv screen when I was just 5 years old.

Hence came the reason why I was on my way to U.A High, a prestigious school where those who want to become heroes go to get the training they need.

I smiled as Mount Lady went to give the villain to the police and continued on my way. Before I could attend U.A I had to partake in the entrance exam. Of course I was nervous as all fuck, but I wasn't going to let that stop me from fulfilling my dream at being a hero.

Once I arrived to U.A I was startled by a boy next to me mumbling about something. I turned my head to him and poked him. "Ah! I'm sorry!", he shouted as he put his arms over his face. I laughed, this kid was mega weird. "Didn't mean to startle you, you were just mumbling a lot and I wanted to see If you were okay," I smiled at him.

The kid had green hair, green eyes, and a bunch of freckles on his face. He was cute to be honest. 'Oh yeah I'm okay! I'm just really nervous.." he mumbles again.

"I am too but don't let that get to you!" I put my fist in front of my chest and gave him a big smile. He smiled back and nodded, "Yeah!"

"So what's your name?" I asked, adjusting my bag straps I had on my shoulders.

"Oh! I'm Izuku Midoriya! What's yours?"

" Y/N Sakura, nice to meet you Midoriya." I said looking at all the kids. There were a lot of people here. I wondered how many of them would actually get into this school.

"Oh Kacchan!" Midoriya said, his voice seemingly shaking

"Outta my way, Deku! Move before I set you on fire," a kid with ashy blonde hair growled as he walked past us.

"Rude much?" I called out. I heard Midoriya squeak beside me.

"Hah?" The boy I guess named "Kacchan" spoke out as he slowly turned to face me.

"All I'm sayin' is that you could've walked past us easily. Instead, you were a giant ass and told us to move. Got a stick up your ass or something?" I sneered, putting my hand on my hip.

Kacchan glared at me and then at Midoriya and then back to me. "Watch yourself curls, or you'll regret it," he spat out, intensely glaring at me. I shrugged, "I'm so scared".

He glared at me some more, and then turned around and walked inside. I sighed and looked at Midoriya who looked like he was going to shit his pants.

I smiled at him warmly, "cmon, lets go inside". He stayed still and started stuttering, "I-I-I think I'm gonna wait a bit".

I nodded and patted him on the shoulder, "well good luck!", I said before starting to walk inside.

A little soon after, I was escorted to this auditorium looking place to where the instructions would be given. I just about fan girled when I saw that it would be none other than Present Mic who would be giving the instructions. His hair always made me laugh cause it looked like a banana.

"WHAT IS UP EVERYBODY?! LEMME HEAR YA," he spoke, putting his hand to his ear.

"......."

"......"

"WHAT AN AMAZING RESPONSE!! LET'S GET RIGHT TO IT"

"As it said in the pamphlet, you kids will be doing 10-minute mock battles right after this! After this, you'll be put into separate areas to do the battle. Three different types of fake villains will be put in each section. Each one you destroy is worth a certain amount of points based on their difficulty!", Present mic stated, while the projector behind him showed three robot looking "villains".

'This should be easy for me', I thought, putting my chin on the palm of my hand.

"Excuse me!! I have a question!! On the pamphlet, there are FOUR villains, what you have shown, is THREE! If that's a mistake then U.A, the most promising school in Japan, should be ashamed for their mistake," A boy with dark blue hair, glasses and weird eyebrows said.

"Geez...just sit down," I rolled my eyes.

"Okay kid, thanks for that. The fourth villain is actually just worth 0 points. It's not impossible to defeat, but there's really no point in defeating it either," Mic said, smiling.

"Now go beyond...PLUS ULTRA!"

An that's a wrap! The first chapter is complete! Thank you to anyone who is reading this! Feel free to leave comments! I love peoples feed back, reactions, and just overall wattpad comments in general. Ya'll are funny.

Just to clear some stuff up before we begin, Y/N is African American. I would also say she is African American mixed with Puerto Rican, but if you would like for her to just be African American, then that is okay too!

Just a note, me personally, I won't be putting the N word in this book. I myself am black, but just don't feel comfortable saying it, or typing it. No shade to any of the other POC Reader books that use the N word, that's just how I feel personally.

Now! Y/N's quirk will be exposed next chapter so don't worry about "wait I don't know what her quirk is."

It shall be exposed in due time my pretties....MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
