First day. Senior year of high school. Last first day. Katrina was still laying in her bed. It was currently 5:23 am. Katrina wasn't supposed to be up until 6:45, but, as usual her mind consumed her.
Katerina heard a pair of footsteps outside of her room. "Katrina!" An older lady said opening the door. Katrina looked up. Macy Williams stood in the doorway.
"Yes mother?" Katrina asked looking at her abusive mother.
"Up. Now. Your almost 18. Your old enough to leave. Pack. Now." Katrina looked at her mother with questioning eyes.
"Mom! I'm 17! I'm still a minor!"
"Start packing!" Macy slammed the door walking out. Katrina was shocked to say the least.
"Alyson." Katrina whispered before jumping up. Screams came from down the hall. Katrina ran out of her room and into her younger sisters room. Macy was stood over Alyson beating her. Katrina ripped her mother away from Alyson. Alyson his behind Katrina.
"Move! Now!" Macy said.
"Beat me all you want. But just know, once I turn 18, get a home, get stable, I will file for adoption on Alyson." Katrina said glaring at her mother.
"Yea right. I thought I told you to leave!"
"Touch Alyson one more time, in any way, you will get arrested. That's not a threat, it's a warning." Katrina walked out the room and into her own. She packed her bags.
"Hurry the fuck up!" Macy called from downstairs. Katrina put on a pleated white skirt, a blue seasalt high hoodie, some lowrise socks and converse. Katrina walked down with her bags and keys to the '67 Chevy impala out front. A gift from her grandmother. Katrina put everything in it.
"Kat!" Alyson said to her sister. Katrina turned around as Alyson reached her.
"Hey Aly."
"Why are you leaving me?" Alyson asked. Katrina bent down to her level.
"Aly, if it was up to me, I would stay with you forever. But mom said I'm old enough to move out. I would never leave you with her if I had to." Katrina said with a sad smile. Alyson wrapped her arms around Katrina's neck and cried. Katrina tried to be strong for Alyson and not cry as her arms wrapped around her.
"Aly, go inside. Before you-know-who gets upset." Katrina told Aly pulling away from her.
"Okay." Alyson said running inside. Katrina got in the drivers seat and drove away from the place she used to know as home. She dialed the one person she knew she could trust with somtheing like this.
"Hey Damien."
"Katrina, what are you doing up?"
"My mom kicked me out of the house, and I have no where to go at the moment."
"Aren't you still 17?"
"Yea. She said I was almost 18 and old enough to leave."
"Well, you know where I live?"
"Yea. I was wondering if I could crash there for a bit."
"Yea, of course. Are you on your way right now?"
"Yea. I left a few miniutes ago. She still has Alyson."
"She what?! Has she hit her yet?"
"She was beating her a few miniutes after she told me to leave."
"Do you want to see if I can adopt her?"
"Don't you have a record?"
"No. I was accused, but the charges were dropped."
"Alright. I'll talk to you more about the subject later. Bye."
"Bye." Katrina hung up and put her phone in her pocket. The car was dead silent.
"Can't do this." Katrina muttered before turning the radio on. Green Day came on. Katrina tapped her fingers to the beat of the song. Damien lived in a 2 story house in the middle of the woods. It takes about thirty miniutes to get there.

Katrina pulled up in front of the what seems to be abandoned house. Damien was on the poarch talking to his beta, Jeremy. Both of their attention averted to the girl walking towards them.
"Hello boys." Katrina said with a smirk plastered on her face.
"Katrina." Jeremy said. He was no exception to every other boy in this town;he was head over heels for Katrina.
"What's going on?" Katrina asked leaning against the wall.
"Jeremy here bit someone." Damien said not happy at all.
"You what?!" Katrina shouted at Jeremy.
"Hey, calm down." Damien said stepping in betweeen the two werewolves. Katrina flashed her eyes. Jeremy flashed them back. "You two! Knock it off!"
"Knock it off? He bit someone! An innocent person!" Katerina yelled at Damien.
"Yes he did."
"Well, where is the person!" Katrina yelled.
"Um...well, she got away..." Jeremy said. Katrina growled loudly punching the bench. The bench broke with a satisfying crack.
"Katrina! Think of your anchor!" Damien yelled. Katerina's fist balled.
"We've gone over this! My anchor is my sister! She has to be here! And my sister is not here!" Katerina yelled shifting.
"Kat?" A small voice asked. Alyson. Katerina turned around. Alyson's eyes widened out of fear. Katerina's eyes turned back to their normal color.
"Aly?" Katerina whispered. Alyson ran to Katerina and hugged her. Katerina held the girl in her arms.
"Mommy kicked me out..." Alyson had puffy eyes.
"Damien, can she stay too?" Damien nodded.
"Jeremy, take Alyson to the guest room." Damien spoke as Katerina set Alyson down.
"Yes sir. Come on." Jeremy held his hand out for Alyson. Alyson grabbed it and walked inside with the brunette.
"Damien, would you turn her?" Katerina looked at Damien as she leaned against a wall.
"I don't know, Kat." Katerina sat down leaning her head back.
"Damien, please. If she's a werewolf and my mom tries to take her back she should be able to protect herself properly." Damien sighed. "Do it for me Damien, please."
"Fine, but not yet. She needs to learn of side effects."
