School Time

Waiting for the school bus, I dug in my purse looking for my compact mirror. When I found it I opened it up and look at my face.

The mark that mom gave me was gone. I put the mirror away and applied some lip gloss to my lips and took out my phone.

"I feel like every time I see my phone screen I'm gonna scream." I unlock my phone and go to Instagram. I look at the first post and it's my ex's with some girl that he was in bed with.

" Gonna be late too school. Ew TMI. And geez... Did he have her as a side chick this whole time. I guess 3 years with him meant nothing." I sighed, school is almost over anyways... So it doesn't matter. The school bus rolled up and opened it's door in front of me.

I close my phone and put it in my purse I stand up ready for the other teens on the bus to start with insults and spitballs like everyday. When I walk up the step the kids and bus driver stare in silence.

I walk to my seat expecting Karen to trip me but there was nothing as I sat down in an empty seats I placed my stuff down and the kids started to whisper as the bus driver pulled off. Suddenly a cute boy I never saw before sat next me. I turned my head to face the window. The boy tapped my shoulder.

I looked at him he put his arm around me and whispered in my ear, "when you get off the bus head into the woods don't go into the school. Trust me." I pushed him off of me. He got up and threw his hands up, "What's wrong girl? Just trying to get to know you and wife you up. "

He winked at me and his boys started shouting and giving handshakes and Patting him on his back. I turned my head in disgust and looked outside as the cars passed by. I pretended there was an imaginary ninja jumping off the roofs of the cars as I thought  about if I should  listen  to the boy.

Suddenly  the bus stops and I get up and get off the bus before all the other kids and I went straight  into the woods. I sat down next to the tree and pulled out my phone. I went on Tok Tik. I watched a dog run through  a neighborhood as a man screamed his name and chased him.

Suddenly  I heard a twig snap  and I quickly  looked up to identify what made the sound. It was the boy from the bus. I glared at him and he backed up and but his hands up. " I'm sorry for what I did back there but they were going  to gang up on you and rape you if I hadn't  done it."

I realized  that  he basically "marked his territory" on me so the others would leave me alone. "Thank you." He smirked, "Oh so she talks." I looked away  deep into the woods. In the distance  It looked like there was a person wearing white but I guess it was just my imagination.

I looked back at the boy. And he walked over to me and sat down. "So what's  your name?" I looked at him for a second  and looked back down at my legs. "(Y/n)" I looked up at him and saw him smile.

" Nice to meet  you (Y/n). I'm Eliott. But you could  just call me Eli. "  He grabbed  my hand and shook it. I pulled my hand back and looked at my phone.
" What time does your class start Y/n" 
"10:45. I have English."
"Oh same. Nice, I get to spend more time with ya."

I smiled. "Ohhh shit she smiles too?!" I started laughing. "SHE LAUGHS TOO?!"  I looked away.  "Well come on let's go eat breakfast in the cafeteria. I'm pretty hungry." He stood up and extended  his hand out to me. I looked up at him and took his hand. As he helped me up I could  have sworn I heard a branch crack in the distance.

"Ok class. Today we will watch the film of the play A Streetcar Name Desire that we finished reading last week. Johnny, do me a favor and turn off the switch. You can turn it on after everyone leaves the classroom."

I saw a little smirk on Johnny's face as he said, "Yes ma'am." Johnny turned off the light. Eli who was sitting  next to me whispered  in my ear, "Bet Ten dollars he's gonna bone her" I giggled a bit.

The teacher went on her phone  then put her head down and fell asleep. A girl in the front left the classroom got up with a guy and left the classroom.  Eli tapped me and whispered, "Yo what's  with this horniness in the classroom." I laughed and shushed him.

He chuckled, "No one shushes me. Especially not someone as cute as you. " I smiled, " Quiet and watch the movie. " I looked at the screen as he put his head  down on my shoulder and fell asleep. I guess  he needs a friend  as much as I do. So I'll allow him to stay like that for a while.

It feels nice to be like this. For once in my life I am able  to go a day without getting bullied. I watched the rest of the movie  and waited for class to be over.

It was 7 minutes until class was over so I woke up Eli.
"Hey wake up."
"... Mmm"
"Class is over"
He sat up and looked at the clock.
"Let me see your Schedule." he went in his pocket and took out his schedule. I took it and looked at it. "We have all of our classes together. The next class you have is Bio." 

I could  see that he was smiling. "Let me guess. You want to be partners for Bio."  he put his arm around  me and pulled me close. " We just met and you already  know  me so well.  We leave the classroom  and Johnny stays back and closes the door.  

We walked to bio and went inside the classroom as the teacher was finishing up setting  up the tables. We walked to the back of the classroom  and  sat down.  "I guess  we're working on Frogs. Hope your not chicken. " I shook my head. " You don't  talk much  do you... " I shook my head again. The kids started to pour into the classroom  and some of the girls started making a big fuss about  the frogs.

"Settle down class. Now with the directions  on the board work with your partner  to pull out the organs and organize them."  A girl in the front  fainted and I laughed. The teacher ran up to her and asked if she was ok and told us to continue.

" This school is drama filled isn't."
"Pretty much."
I took the scalpel and made a slit in its  belly.
"you seem to do that easily as well." I ignored him and continued to dissect the frog. I took out all of it's organs and stuffed the body with cotton. 

I sighed, "ok you can organize them now" he sighed, "geez your so mean. Alright. How can I tell? " I rolled my eyes," Just look at the paper it tells you. "

As he organised it I got on my phone I went to  ChatSnap to take a picture. "Eli come take a picture with me." he looked up and threw his hands up.  "I looked clapped. Don't do that, look at my hair."  I smiled," Your hair is fine. Just take a few pictures  and I won't  show  no one I promise."
He put his hands down  and pulled me to him, "Fine. But hurry up."

"School's over so what you got planned"
"Oh well I was just  going  to go to the movies and then go find a place to eat"
"Any of your friends  coming with you?"
"I don't have friends."
"Well you do now. I'm coming  with you. "
"Oh ok."

We walk out of the school and start walking the the movie theater.

"What movie are going  to watch?"
"The new Kombat Mortal movie."
"Aight bet. Let's go I want some popcorn."
I smiled. When we got there I bought  our tickets while Eli bought the snacks. We found  seats all the way in the back. The movie started playing and as we watched we made little comments about how they made the certain characters.

As we got closer to the end of the movie one of the characters yelled, "Get over here" in a deep voice  and the whole movie theater started laughing. And someone behind us accidentally threw their popcorn  on the floor. I laughed and continued  to watch the movie

As the movie finished Eli stretched and looked at me. "I think  it was better than the last one.... But  could  still use a few more tweaks" I rolled my eyes," like you could  do any better Mr. Director "  He smirked," ofc I could do better " I laughed and walked with him out of the movie theater.

As we're walking to my house Eli starts to get quiet. I look at him, "Are you ok" he nods. "Do you mind if I stay with you tonight?" I stopped walking.
"What? Why?"
" My mom has her Boy toy over and I don't  feel like getting beat up today"
"My situation isn't any better"
"Ok so how about  either you sneak me up into your room or you hang out with me at the park."
I sighed. I'm too nice....

"Fine. I'll sneak you to my room"
