Atsumu POV.
I had the date. I got him out of his ‘safe space’ so we could go on a little walk, holding hands and hug. Like a normal couple would. My brother was con facetime with dad, both judging what I was wearing as if they knew any better.
—I look like a snack!— I yelled at the top of my lungs happy enough to not care about my twin of my father who was laughing at me.
My twin too was now laughing at me and my excitement.
In my pocket, my phone vibrated meaning that a new text arrived.
Omi <3
Hey babe.
Do I need to pick you up or do we meet somewhere? Just to be sure.I giggled at the screen, even though he couldn't see me. He was so cute. I started typing with a smile on my face.
I'll pick you up at your place, cupcake. I'll be there soon. Love you!
I may or may not sound like a cheesy boyfriend who loves to mess around with nicknames way too much. And yes, I do love to mess around with the nicknames way too much. But there's nothing wrong with showing affection once in a while.
I took one last glance at the reflection in the mirror and winked at myself, filling myself with confidence. I grabbed my wallet, phone, and keys.
I said goodbye to my twin and dad and rushed out of the apartment.
For a 36-year-old man who lives alone and has a 35-year-old boyfriend, who is sick.
He, from the beginning, told me he had Alzheimer and it was fine with me. That was two years ago when we met on a reunion when Hinata brought him to a party, saying that he needed some fresh air. It was hilarious seeing him being all awkward at first. With a little bit of time and patience, he opened up to me.
He couldn't stay much around people or else he would get anxious. He was in the first phase of Alzheimer so I felt empathy towards him.
In the end, I started dating him and loving what made him frustrated.
I walked a little to the train station arriving in time. The train was about to close the gates. I got in being a little squished in between so many people. I scrolled through my phone a little bit, finding myself interested in the very few pictures that I had with Omi.
The train came to a stop and I decided to send a message to him. Just a reminder.
Omi <3
Darling. Remember that I'll be picking you up at your place.
Sent 11:21 AMIt didn't take long for him to read the message and answer me.
You did? I'm sorry, Tsumu. I'm at the train station. I thought we were gonna meet at your place.
Seen 11:22 AMI felt a little bad for him but just laughed it off.
Don't worry, Omi-Omi. I'm actually at the train station. So, thanks for coming to get me.
Sent 11:22 AMI chuckled a little bit. I looked all over the place and asked people if he saw him. Many told me that they saw him on a bench to which I rolled my eyes. Tipycal Sakusa. Oh, how I love him!
Once I saw him I ran to him, hugging him while he sat on the bench.
—Omi-Omi!— I yelled while kissing him on the cheek, nose, and lips.
—Tsumu—. He replied with a smile plastered on his perfect face.
We smiled at each other like we haven't seen in years. Truth is that we met last week. But college was stressing me a little so I just used that as an excuse.
He held my hand softly and kissed it. We walked a little until we came across a tiny park with swings, slides, and monkey bars.
—Samu—. I frowned but then just smiled a little. After four years, I would expect this to happen.
—My name's Atsumu, love. Osamu is my twin.
He bit his lower lip, ashamed.
—Atsumu. Atsumu. Atsumu. Atsumu boyfriend.
He repeated again and again. He checked his pockets in search of something that I didn't know.
—Cupcake? What are you looking for?
—Note. Not forgetting.
I extended a little paper I had and he grabbed it and gave it back.
—You—. He covered his face. —You write it.
“It's all part of the journey, in the end,” I thought to myself, holding my tears.
—Tsumu?
—Hm?
—Together?
—Together—. I smiled at him, assuring him that I would never leave his side.
After that little chat, we ate ice cream and laughed until our stomachs hurt and we cried with joy.
Hey! I'm here with this weird thing. Anyway hope you like it!
