Rou could feel his heartbeat in his throat. Every passing second was torturous. He rested his head against the cold brick wall behind him, and closed his eyes, praying they didn't turn the corner and find him.


His hands were so clammy he nearly dropped his phone, but he couldn't afford to lose the evidence. Rou wished he could have the composure of his peers, but how could he? He had no experience, only terror at the idea of being caught.


Truly, he thought bitterly, glancing at the image—evidence worth lives—that made his phone so heavy he could barely lift it, ignorance is bliss.
