NOAH
He woke up half out of the water. He moved his hair out of his face to oversee the damage done to his body. There was a huge laceration running down his calf that was bleeding profusely. He ripped off his shirt and made a makeshift bandage to attempt to stop the bleeding. Once his injuries were dealt with his next thought went to Valen. "Was she ok? Where is she?" Noah slowly lifted himself off of the beach using all of his strength. He stood up, steadied his gait, and began the search for his love.

After a half hour of walking he became light headed. Everything seemed to spin around him as he walked along the edge of the water among the debris of boat and passengers. It was morning. He would guess it to be around 9 am. It was a beautiful morning at that. The sun rising, birds chirping, and calm seas. The sight of two people laying on the beach ahead of him broke his musings. Though still lightheaded, he ran to the figures in the distance. He noticed one to be a woman he saw on the cruise, and Valen. It felt as though his breath was sucked out of him. His heart beat faster as he ran to his beloved.

She appeared peaceful, almost doll-like. He knelt at the waters edge next to her and raised a hand to move her wispy hair from her face. The dried salt was crackling on top of her pale , purple tinted skin. He knew she was dead. It was like a part of him had died with her. They had always talked about the stars. The beauty of our universe. He thought it's funny that he wouldn't be able to appreciate their light with her among them. She was dead. His emotions failed to hold as he burst into tears as he collapsed onto her. A once warm embrace had never felt so cold. All of their memories together floated by his brain one by one, reminding him of a wonderful life. He realized that he could not live without her. Feeling a lump in his pocket, he remembered the blade he always carried with him. He reached his right hand into his pocket and pulled out the silver knife. It glistened in the sun, it too, crackling with dried salt. He laid next to her and looked at the sky. "I cannot live any longer" he said as he pressed the knife to his throat. Quickly sliding it deep across, he felt an excruciating pain and struggled to breath. He felt the waves crash against his legs as he thought "forever my love, forever" and his life slowly faded to black.
