Tomatoes aren't in the Bible, nor are they poisonous, but they are in fact; a fruit.

Bob went to a school known as Vegetable High School (or Veggie High for short), although technically he was a fruit, he didn't mind going to a high school known as, 'Veggie'. For most tomatoes consider themselves vegetables for tax purposes. Besides... Bob thought with a sigh; he saw the long slim tree green cucumber skate
boarding on a ramp, other schools wouldn't have him...

Ever since freshman year; Bob has been completely infatuated with the cucumber who only wore leather jackets and pointless sunglasses, he was known as...Larry. Larry was different from other vegetables, he didn't bully Bob for his everlasting dream of one day becoming a god, nor did he bully Bob for his high grades, in fact; it was almost like he didn't notice Bob existed.

Bob definitely noticed Larry existed.

When they first met, Bob's clumsy invisible hands had dropped his favorite bible on the ground right next to bible studies, he tried to pick it up, but ended up tumbling over and hitting Larry. Instead of laughing, or mocking him, Larry just squinted his eyes and gave Bob a perplexed stare before going into the classroom. That stare— thats what did it. That's what made Bob absolutely hooked. Not even his favorite bible could compare; to the being that was— Larry the cucumber.

Bob—unlike his other produce peers, had never seen the appeal of romance. He'd much rather read real books. Not gross romance books, but the meaningful kind, the ones with true substance, the ones about God. Sure Adam and Eve had a romance, but theirs was so untimely amazing; why would you even want to try after that? It's not that he judged people who read romance novels (that was a complete lie, they needed to judged, because his taste was obviously superior.), he just didn't understand the craze about it.

It wasn't until Larry had given him that perplexed gaze, it was like—like he was gazing into Bob's tiny fruit soul, seeing every tiny secret Bob had kept hidden for all his life, and then some. But it wasn't only that.

There was something behind those eyes, something—or someone, with a secret of their very own, and Bob wanted nothing more to do; then to stare into those cucumber eyes, and spend hours, days, maybe even years, looking into those eyes, to put his invisible hands around his oblong face, and to find out every secret they hid from the world.

All he needs to do for that dream to become reality, is to finally be seen.

"Loser!" Said one of the French peas as they slammed him into the locker, "look at his nerdy glasses! Who even wears those besides the grimy teachers?"

"A loser," snorted another one, Bob was having enough of this, when he became the new god in town; these guys were the first to go to hell. He was about to open his mouth and say those exact words, before someone pushed the peas away from him, it was Larry,

"You guys are just a sad excuse for a green bean," sneered Larry, before the peas and him started having a full fight in the dingy school hallways. Bob couldn't believe his eyes. The Larry cucumber was standing up; for him. He must be dreaming, never in his wildest fantasies could he have imagined this.

This was at least how he was feeling for the first 10 seconds, but then—there was that dreaded 11th second. After the bewilderment and excitement went away, it was replaced with utter panic. He was not prepared to talk to Larry yet. He had no speech ready, hadn't even had time to fix his core.

And that was completely and totally terrifying.

As Bob was lost in thought panicking about what to say to Larry, or how he looked, it completely passed his mind that Larry was getting his ass beat by the French peas. By the time Bob could remember; Larry was already sliding down the locker next to Bob, and giving him a defeated smile, "I'm sorry I wasn't much help," Larry says, sheepishly looking down at his invisible hands.
