AN: Hi everyone! So there will be trigger warnings for anything that I think maybe a problem at the beginning of each chapter in italics. If I miss anything please let me know in a comment and I will add it ASAP. I hope you all enjoy!

Nick knew he was straight. He had never had feelings for a guy. He wasn't against being gay or actually opposed to being with a guy himself, but he had never felt that way with a guy. So from that, he concluded he was straight.

Nick also knew that his friend Clay, or more commonly referred to as Dream, wasn't straight. Dream had come out to Nick as bisexual about a year ago and Nick was totally supportive of him. They had been friends for years before so why would that change their friendship in any way? So it didn't. They were still just as close, if not closer now. Nick would never try and lead Dream or anyone on to any extent and so always made sure it was clear that when he was flirting with anyone, it was all jokes and platonic. Everyone knew that he flirted and joked with all of his friends and yet so many people shipped him with them, specifically Dream. The two usually played into it a bit too and it was all for fun.

Nick looked down to his phone to see a new text from his friend and smiled to himself before opening his phone and responding.

Nick sighed and climbed out of bed and slipped some black sweat pants on. He then selected a new white hoodie with small daisies that travelled down the left sleeve and a small ear cuff, again with daisies engraved into it. Walking into the bathroom, he saw that the bags under his eyes were dark but he thought it added to the vibe and so left them be. Slipping on his black and white vans and grabbing his wallet and keys, he left his apartment.

After a 5-minute drive, Nick pulled up to the small coffee shop where his friend was waiting and grabbed the key out of the ignition. He then looked up into the review mirror and fixed his hair one last time before opening the car door and heading towards the coffee shop. Walking into the cafe, he didn't see Dream at first glance. He was looking around when he heard someone call out;

"SPAPNAPY!"Nick rolled his eyes and giggled before turning towards the voice to see Dream sitting in the far corner and responding with, "MY DREAMIE!"

They laughed as Nick made his way over to the table while getting lots of weird looks from the other customers.

"Hii Sap!" Dream grinned at the boy as he sat across from him. Nick giggled again and waved. "How are you on this fine day?"

"I'm doing just swell Dreamie, thanks for asking." They sat in silence for a few minutes before Nick spoke up again. "After we get our coffees, do you wanna go somewhere else?" He glanced up to see Dream tilt his head slightly in confusion before responding.

"Um sure. Why?" Nick shrugged before they were approached by a waiter.

"Hi! How may I help you today?" she chirped before looking over at Dream. "Oh! Hey Clay! Did you just get off?" Nick tried not to giggle while Dream shot him a knowing look.

"Hey, Ally. Yeah, I did but need coffee," he answered with a small smile. The boys ordered their drinks and before Ally left the table, she made eye contact with Nick before blushed and rushing away. Nick looked back over at Dream with a confused face. To make things even stranger, Dream was looking slightly pissed.

"Uh, Dream?" Nick said but got no reply. Dream kept just staring at the door that their waiter had disappeared behind, looking like he needed to hit something. "Clay? Is everything alright?" Dream snapped his head back to look at Nick with wide eyes before looking down at his phone.

"Huh? Sorry, I zoned out." He chuckled lightly. Nick trusted him and went back to his own scrolling before they were approached by their waiter Ally again.

"Here! One iced coffee and one black coffee. On the house!" She smiled at Nick again before scurrying away behind the doors again. The two boys picked up their cups, Dream with the black coffee and Nick with the iced coffee when Nick noticed another piece of paper slipped under his drink. He picked it up and, without reading it, slipped it into his pocket. Dream watched him with an intense gaze before standing up and holding out his unoccupied hand out to the other. Nick laughed slightly before grabbing his friend's hand and leaving the front doors.

The rest of the evening was mostly normal. They went back to Nick's apartment and hung out playing minecraft. They were making a big underground secret base on the SMP before Dream spoke up.

"So... What was that paper Ally gave you back at the coffee shop?" he asked with slight hesitance. If Nick was being completely honest, he had forgotten about the paper until that moment. He reached in his pocket and pulled it out. Putting his minecraft character into a safe space before turning his chair around, he opened the slip of grey paper to reveal 10 small numbers on the middle of the paper, along with writing that said 'I thought you looked really cute -Ally' with a small heart next to the name. Nick's eyes widened.

"Uh it's... her n-number..." he studded. Dream's face went a light pink.

"Oh," he responded. Nick noticed the change in Dream's demeanour but brushed it off as nothing. "are you gonna text her?"

"Probably. She was really pretty and seemed sweet I guess. I haven't gone out with anyone in ages so it couldn't hurt right?" Nick shrugged before going back to the game. He was playing for a few minutes before running past Dream's character who hadn't moved since they talked.

"Dreamie?"Nick spun his chair to face his friend before the chair was stopped suddenly by Dream's arm.

"I don't think you should go out with Ally. Or text her. Or call her. Or see her." He was looking down at his feet as he stood in front of Nick, blushing madly.

"What do you mean Clay? Are you okay?" This only made Dream blush more at the use of his real name. He backed away from his clueless but worried friend and sat back down onto his chair before responding.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just don't think you two are right for each other." Dream then went back to his game like nothing had happened, leaving a very confused Nick looking at him.
